I'm a bit Anal about some things and seeing I want a build that stands up to the People I learned from and respect?
I have to go the extra mile on something. My friend sent me a silencer that works GREAT on the RS 1.
But it needs that extra mile to be perfect! I'll turn the base that threads on the barrel a bit so the shroud fits over it.
Then it will get a good sanding and then a nice paint job since it's just rough turned, bare aluminium right now.
I will cut a groove for an o-ring as I want a tight fit incase I find I need to do a vent hole.

That sounds like a good Idea,...guns look much better with a shroud even if it's not working.

Was the plug just to block a hole and keep the JB Weld out of the valve body while it dried?
What will you gain doing that?
I'm about to go read the Motorhead RS1 link you put in so maybe I'll discover the reason there.

Edit - OK just read a bunch of that thread. Are you drilling a new hole through the JB Weld to reduce the original opening of the valve body?

Yes, the plug keeps the JB Weld from getting inside the valve body. There's 4 holes that are now plugged nicely.
I'll index and drill a single hole. Motorhead's thread explains everything very nicely!
I'm not inventing any 'New' process with my build. Manny did a fantastic .30 RS carbine that I'm copying and Motorhead did the work I'm copying inside this gun. I'm not an AirGun Smith. Just a tinkerer.

That's the plan. I'll also paint the Air Tube. They all get black paint with a Clear matte over that.
Every thing was sanded and etched before the primer was applied. That gets sanded before I color coat and clear.
The stock will get some attention also. Not a complete cover job but accented.

Yep. I'll be happy to get 10 good shots though.
The .30 I had with this tube I got 5 good shots. And it was not regulated nor modified for efficiency.
I always fill to 250 bar.
5 shots into a beer can at almost 65 yards was good in my book.

And if I had found your thread sooner? I'd never had sold the 2 .30's and 2 .357's I had!
Rocker 1 got a Will Piatt .30 RS 2 from me and Insanity got a .357 from me.

So that is the tube I had on the .30 build, a bit shorter then the 200 cc REX tube that I changed with

Jeff that tube looks a little longer then the usual Rainstorm tubes, is it 15" long ? that I think is the normal length but I double check.

Wow way longer then standard Rainstorm tubes, could be from an old Blizzard, that should be a 300cc tube, if it's the same length of your Sniper's that what it is, 300
