I posted this as a reply to Ron's match reminder but I figured I would make a new post to make sure everyone got the info.
The match has been canceled due to the weather. Ron lost power and internet connectivity today so he can't tell you himself.

Here is the info from my other post:
With heavy heart, Ron has decided to cancel the match for Saturday. As we were discussing it, he lost power at his house (along with his internet connection) so he asked me to let everyone know. The match will not be rescheduled, the next AAFTA-style match will be in 3 months. He'll update on next month's match, which will be either Extreme FT or benchrest silhouette on 3/4.

Ron wanted to let everyone know that he is sorry to have to cancel, but as someone who was looking forward to shooting this Saturday, I totally get it. His place is going to be a mudhole for the next few days, and he doesn't need a bunch of people tromping around his property and getting his house all muddy.

So look for details on next month's match, this one is a victim to Texas weather.

I'm back!

First, sincerest apologies for cancelling the match Y'all. And (a close) second, many, MANY thanks to Scott for stepping up to deliver the message in my absence!

Although not the only great friend to volunteer for that hazardous duty, at 6'11" and 275 pounds, I figured he'd be the most likely to survive the angry mob. Apparently most of you know him, considering nary a single angry airgunner appeared, much less a mob of you. Truth be told, I think Maggyy could take him!

Correction- OBVIOUSLY Maggyy could take him.

As Scott alluded, any of my canceled matches other than Grand Prixs or State Championships do not get rain-out dates. So the first TEXtreme AAFTA match will be on the regular schedule for the next TEXtreme AAFTA match, that being Saturday, May 6.

The three types of TEXtreme matches each being on a QUARTERLY schedule, the next TEXtreme match (of any kind) will be Extreme Field Target on Saturday, March 4. The next match after that is Bench-Rest Silhouette on Saturday, April 1... coincidentally the anniversary of the (April FOOLS Day) when I met my second ex-wife on a blind date arranged by an ex-girlfriend. There's a story there, but it's impertinent to the here and now. Correction- A LOT OF STORIES!

Those of you unfortunate enough to know me TOO well already realize I'm an incurable story-teller. Occurs to me that's why at group dinners I'm only taking my first bite about the time everyone else is finished. Not sure if that's an improvement over my younger, wilder days as the storyteller at (pot) parties, when I'd find my audience shrinking to the point I'd (eventually) realize I had no audience at all... until couple by couple they emerged from every bedroom. Not sure what they (all) were doing in there, but suspect I might have missed out on something worthwhile.

Have I ever told Y'all the story about losing my virginity...

I'll close by thanking you all for your understanding in cancelling Saturday's FT match. Sorry for the inconveniences I fully realize it caused many of you. To atone, I won't tell any more long, rambling stories...
