Range Cards vs Ballistic Calculators

great video matt iv used the ballistic calculator myself to make my own card's till I get used to a new rifle here's one I made for one. Personally iv never used the wind function wind is to erratic and never a constant like gravity. Wind speed compensation is something we all have to learn by sight, fee and experience but there is a science to gravity and for that Ballistic Calculators are great for drop if you want to speed up the learning curve of a new gun/scope. (if all the info you put into the profile is accurate it can be a pain to set up but well worth learning) Again great video Matt

That's good info. I also use a spreadsheet and trajectory programs to create range cards. I much prefer to have the information at hand rather than using my calculator or iphone.

When I realized that I would need different cards depending on targets or environmental conditions, I started using a data book while shooting. I try to anticipate what targets/conditions I may encounter at upcoming shoots and prepare pages to go into my data book. I fastened the "book" to my shooting mat so that it is right there for the prone or sitting shots. The pages are in sheet protectors and I use tabbed dividers for quick access. I recently replaced the cardboard (got soggy in wet weather) dividers with thin Kydex dividers.

I add or subtract pages as my needs change.

but I think if I start to use its Gadgets I'll lose my instinct.
I think our old of the old school ...must laugh!
Making mistakes helps me to understand why, as in life I respect people who used all his gadget ....
but the old school gives me more satisfaction out of a shooting succeeded ... of course this is just my opinion and not a reproach I have great respect for all of you ... but the shooter will all become less and less endowed with their instincts over the years But very good work Matt

I'm working with Stelok and getting unusual results at 11 at 12 yards.

FPS 935
JSB 18 pellet
scope height 1.675
zero at 27 yards

both 11 and 12 yards how 16.7 clicks (the same) when range chart is 17 and 15. Anyone else see strangeness with 11 and 12 yards always being the same?
