Range/Distance Measurement-What do you use

I have a Leica and it works great! A problem I've noticed with cheaper range finders is that the don't range well on dark, non-reflective targets. I shoot 3-D archery and my Leica always gives me a reading while other shooters will have trouble with the darker targets. Of course, a new Leica is (or was) in the $800 range.

I've read good reviews on the Nikon Black. Seems to be a quality unit at a reasonable price.

I’ve narrowed down to the Leica CRF or the Sig Sauer BDX Kilo

obviously the larger the range or distance the more expensive it gets. Like is the 1400 Kilo the same as the 2400 kilo? Except for distance? 


you’d think a 900 yard or less should be fine for air rifles? (Even 400-500)

i think for air gunning should be fine and has the ballistics calculator
