Rapid Air Weapons TM1000 - Ring and Pellet Choice

I have a TM1000 in .177. it shoots everything well but JSBs seem to have an edge on all the others.
I'm also getting 95 shots per fill consistantly. I shoot my TM1000 more often that my HM1000x in .25

You will love that gun!, I’ve used BKL’s w/ good results, I’ve also used sports match also very good ring (a little clunky but work!), I’m about to switch to some of the best aluminum rings u can buy (KELBY!) rings alittle pricey but worth it machined extremely well! My TM likes the jsb 10.4 heavy’s 4.52 standard LW, like most barrels must try every thing to see what it likes, I live in MI so it likes one pellet more in the cold vs. hot and humid weather?

I have a set of FX NoLimit rings I’m going to put on my HMx when I receive it and I’m starting with a Hawke 4-16x44 scope, this will be my starting point for rings and scope, I do have other rings and at least 3 other scopes I’ll try one is a Vortex Viper and one is a Leupold and the other is a FFP 10x, this will at least get me to my main scope, I’ll do the same when I order and receive my HMx .25 LRT.
After reading and receiving some pertinent information from a member here on the lw vs poly barrels I’m going to order my HMx .25 LRT with the poly barrel being I want to shoot the JSB 25.4 pellets at around 940-960 hopefully and then if I want to shoot 33s I should still be ok, my main purpose of the LRT will be shooting steel from 75 yards out to 150 plus yards and I’m one of those that likes fps and ke values.

"spysir"Using a scope with enough moa just skip the FX no limits. 20 MOA built in, not sure which vortex your using some have 200+ moa, figure your using high mag so maybe 45-60moa adjustment? Should be just fine with solid mounts?

John
I was thinking this. I am using a Nightforce C535 with 80 MOA of elevation adjustment.

I use a similar setup on my Barret MRAD which also has a 20 MOA rail and I’ve never wanted for elevation.

Ya I did some reconcidering today( last few weeks actually) about my airguns and changed everything around from what my plan was, 1st off I found a Vortex Crossfire II 6-24x50 today for under 230.00 so I bought that and I have a set of Vortex med rings and then I realized that it’s a 20 moa rail on the HMx's( forgot) but I still might go with no limit rings but time will tell, I’m also putting my Vortex and Leupold back on my Powder Burners and then I have a 4-16x44 Hawke scope just sitting around that I’ll put on the .25 HMx and see how that works for me out to 100-125 yards for now and then I’m putting the crossfire on my HMx .357 when it gets here and then I’ll leave them alone for a bit..I have decided to only have 4 airguns and the rest I’ll sell off along with scopes, rings and bipods.

I'm the type of person that always wants my scope optically centered.

nl if yr scope is good for 80 moa. you will still have it close to mazed out in the turrets at longer range air gun shots.
and most scopes reguardless of price do not track right with the turret clicks once you get fairly close to the to being maxed out.
I learnt this because i took my guns and or scopes put them in clamps and put on a distant target or object and the clicks on all the scopes I own started going haywire..

take ot fomr somone who own scopes up to 3 thousand dollors.. get your self no limit rings.
I now have 10 sets of them for all my high end air guns.

"terrymc"+1 for the no limits, they allow me to adjust for range on the rings instead of bottoming my reticle.
You may want to check your raw out before spending the money on no limit ring, My raw has 20 moa built into the scope rail. You can get some kick'en rings the money spent on FX rings if you don't need the adjustment. And maybe save a buck
