I want to apologize for the abrupt absence from my post lastnight. That was not my intention as I had just gotten the gun scoped and was headed to shoot in the dark for a little while to report back.

Something shortly after happened that changed many things. All I can say is our way of life as we know it is being threatened. So I probably won't get to shoot as much as I had planned on in the near future but that's life.

I'm happy to report it was shooting pretty good in some 20mph winds but wasn't doin anything too serious just feeling the gun out. The guns shooting the Hades at 970-980fps which was what I had with me when I had the Chrony out to get a quick baseline. Noise wise I thought it was shooting about 850fps and that I needed to crank the speed up. Lol nope. I like the trigger good 2 stage and light, cocking is nice and smooth. The shot cycle is very tame as someone has mentioned before essentially dead. 

My main use for this gun will be slugs though and long range pesting. I'm going to pull the barrel and slug it then I got lots of different NSAs to try through it. Also different sizers to size to the barrel. That's kinda where I'll be going next with the gun. But it does shoot pellets very well, JSB 18gr, Hades and 16gr AAs. Also Edgun 18gr which are made by JSB which was all I put through it.

I appreciate it all who have responded. Family is ok what's being threatened is our dairy. That's all I can really say but yeah we don't know what the future holds for it and us but we're just gonna keep moving forward.

Dairyboy, prayers sent for you, your family and farm. One of only two dairies here in Ulster stopped operations and it is a sad affair. Now they rent out the fields for hemp crops. The other smaller dairy is going strong, but there definitely an under appreciation of our farmers in general. Especially the smaller farms.

BTW I believe it's a 16.5"~ barrel on the Mini. I pulled it but didn't measure it.

So today had a little time to mess with it and decided to pull the barrel and inspect it, slug it and then clean it. Very easy to do so, just remove the tension nut and pull the shroud off and then loosen the 3 set screws on top of the barrel and pull it out. Very simple and no orings to get messed up! So barrel pulled I looked through it and found a nice smooth looking bore, 6 lands and 6 grooves. Pushing a 28.5gr NSA through the bore was difficult but I knew these bores run tight and wanted good engagement for accurate measurements. Smooth the whole way and no tight or loose spots. And so the measurements I got were .209/.214 which is what I expected. My .214 sizing die should be here on Friday from Lee so should work good. I then cleaned the barrel and only took 4 patches with ballistol and 3 dry and was clean. Gun is now back together and will hopefully shoot pellets through it later today. Slug testing will resume later once I have my sizer.

That’s exactly what came to my mind when I read your troubled words. The Dairy. I wish you the best, man. Good luck. You’re young, and seem to have skills, so if a career change to to become of this, you’ll be ok
