Since I received and tried out the magazines, I thought a report for those interested might be useful. I ordered them on the 6th, got them on the 11th but had to wait a couple days for the weather to cooperate for range testing.
These two are the .25/.257 cal. Raptor stick magazines. The fit and finish is very nice on these. The dimensions are 3.36 long, .79 high, and .667 deep (projectile length). When centered on cylinder 5 or 6, the mag protrudes 1.05 on one side of the breech and 1.35 on the other. With the bolt in the last cylinder, the mag is inset .25 on one side of the breech and protrudes 2.65 on the other. There are slots across the bottom that engage the mag detent ball to time the cylinders. They are easy to insert, have a no slack fit, and the indexing works perfectly. Absolutely no double loads, lol, and they are easy to use with gloves or no look,
I got a rare almost windless day at the range, but unfortunately, limited time to test. Since I did not use the rotary mags at all, I couldn’t compare the stick and rotary mags head to head for accuracy, I used only unsorted AA 25.4 pellets, no heavies or slugs, with targets set at 50, 100, and 150 yards. Groups were better than average for me at all ranges with one sub moa group at 150. Accuracy testing will have to wait for another day, as I was using a new barrel with appx. 200 rounds through it, and a new scope (Arken sh4 II). As always YMMV.
