Wow! That is quite a pack of rats. You don't necessarily need a night vision scope. A red light attached to a scope you own can be very, very effective. You could also use a red light to illuminate the area, good times for you ahead. I love shooting rats.

Peanut butter with chocolate syrup in the middle (Dairy Queen it!) is a lovely 'sit down' dinner for rats under the stationary Home Depot red or green LED. Up the game with an XSH Doorbell camera that sends motion detection alerts to your phone.

You sit quietly in the dark after getting an alert then whack 'em.
