Rats are back again

The rats are back again after my last visit. Its a dirty job, but someone has to do it, LOL.

My HW100T was busy spitting out the Hades 16gr pellets and making a small dent in the rat population.

You are shooting rats. Closest here are muskrats. Often head shots while swimming.
They are in ponds and sloughs and cause a lot of road damage when the ponds are alongside. Burrow in the banks under the roads and can cause collapsing holes which are a big problem if you are driving. Road repairs also cost the County & State a lot of money.

So, we shoot them when alongside the roads.

Good shooting and narration, I was lucky to have access to two dairies with rat populations like you show. Alas, those dairies are no more. I still shoot some, but nowhere near as many as in the pass. I typically only take head shots. But your video has inspired to try heart/lung shots. Am headed out, thanks for the video.

@Joe-Smith. I haven't shot any muskrats before. Farmer had told me about them in the past but I haven't seen them yet. I can imagine the damage they do to the roads. Blast them away.

@L.Leon. Thank you. Those rats will multiply in a short period of time. Since I started using the Hades 16gr pellets, I don't need to focus too much on head shots anymore. The Hades will destroy their internals with body shots, so give them a try on those rats if you haven't already done so. Have fun shooting them rats.
