Rats had a bad day

These dirty rats should not have been playing on my new rifle range. They also made it too easy, being next to my 50 yard target.

Nice shooting! Just got one at the base of my backyard range as well. Only25yrds with the hw97k. Jsb lights out! It’s my shooting range plus bird feeders so it attracts critters sometimes. he was eating right next to a rabbit. I like them. Made sure to miss the bunny and whack the little rat good.

Very fortunate for you that the rats made the extremely bad decision to be on the range when you were already dialed in. More info? Projectile of choice, caliber? Good shooting on such small, skittish pests.

LLeon: Thanks for asking. 22 cal. JSB 15.89. My dreamline seems to like these a little better than 18.1. The difference is 1/2 inch group at 35 yards 15.89. 3/4 with 18.1 and it could be the shooter. Thanks again

We put in a double french door that opens onto the deck in the backyard......if I sit quietly at the dinner table, I can snipe the rats in the rock wall at the edge of the backyard...

This is not an activity that is appreciated when my wife is home....or we have dinner guests coming over!

I have a hay field behind my house that's being neglected, so I mowed a strip and now I have a 75 yard shooting range. I noticed rats crossing so that's opened the door to a lot more fun. Having a new gun makes it even more fun.

Put a bait pile out and have at it!

walter3rd: Thanks, I've done that and it does slow them down enough to get a shot at them. Some have enjoyed there last meal at that pile.
