Seems like every time I don't work.I end up with another toy. Any input on western rattler 357.

I’m considering the .30 version. What’s your thoughts so far? Likes/dislikes? How loud is it comparable to say a 22lr?
There's a lot of power to be had in the Rattler 30, 357, and 45. The big bore's have barrel twist rates made for slugs, not necessarily pellets. The mid to heavy slugs fly most accurate, especially longer slugs in these calibers, and produce great speed to weight ratios for nice flat trajectories.

Im trying to decide on a solid gun for coyotes and coons. Can’t imagine what it would do to a squirrel. Needs some pics!

Max range 100 yds. And will be defending my chicken coop at about 40 yds. This is one of my top picks right now. Been trying to read up on these guns. I will be following this thread. Hope to hear more of your experience with this!

With the Rattler 30 caliber you can tune it "down" to shoot lighter ammo for squirrel hunting and then tune it "up" with heavier ammo for racoon and coyote sized game. The .30 is a pretty versatile caliber; as is would be the .357, just not for squirrel meat.
