RAW 1000x .30 cal = Sub 1/2" at 100 yards

"Sam63"The telescope on your RAW is what I think makes it look longer. What scope are you using and is the sunshade attached? Did you sort pellets for the 1/2 group at 100 yds?

Hi Sam63, 

Scope is a. Bushnell Elite 8-32x mil-dot, no sun shade. OAL of the rifle is in fact 47 1/2". Scope is 17 3/4". The pellets are un sorted, die lot #0. Maybe a little luck in that .406" group in that all 5 pellets must have been identical. I am going to get a .30 cal head sizer, sort and weigh, and sprinkle holy water on my next batch of pellets just to see how far I can take this thing.

I definitely will. I also plan to shoot several groups with the reject pellets of assorted weight/head diameter to find the "worst" groups this gun is capable of and contrast with the best.

That will be amazing. Pulling for ya. Be nice to see a RAW win the EBR. I'm a new 1000x owner focusing on 75/100yd groups. My near term goal is (4) 5 shot groups at 100yds that average .750" and a 150 yard group under 2"

10 years ago, my goal was to shoot just (1) 100yd group sub 1". My experimental .20 (twenty) cal Air Ranger got it done. It was awesome (still have it) but my, have times (and air rifles) changed!

best group of the day, had some nice switch up winds, this group is a 9 shot magazine, had it sub .5", but the wind bite me on shot 9.... it picked up as i pulled the trigger... grr, shot at 15x mag, Viper Pro 5-30

i posted a pic of the target before i shot, i had a member call me out on my groups because i had repair stickers on the target, upper left bull is my group bull.

Wow. What a badass set up. At some point I may get a BM stock for my HM. There's something super secret I'm experimenting with in the meantime to add stability / robotic repeatability and will update you guys soon. Love your doomsday bench rest! Would probably take a direct hit from a bunker buster. There's a pic of your groups on instagram / #rapidairweapons, btw.

I have room for 10, then we are going to start making traps, 25m, 50m, 75yd and 100 yards.
Working to get the range USARB sanctioned.
Goal is to have benches, 25m and 50m traps complete by June for 1st match. I had shoulder surgery 2 weeks ago so im having alot of friends come and help.
