RAW BM500 25 yard Benchrest Match

I sent my RAW BM500 back to Martin Sept of last year for a tune up. Had it about 7 years and thought it could use a going over. Shot it a little bit at home but never at a match. Seems we have been shooting 50, 75 & 100 yards lately. But I had the bug to get it out and shoot the 25 yard BR match this past Sunday at Rio. To my surprise Shot my best 25 yard score 250 249, 248 = 747 - 30X :D What was a little strange my 250 card only had 5X's and my 248 card had 16X's I kinda like my 248 card better :) So give it up to Martin & RAW for a great gun. BM500 .177 shooting 13.4 gr Heavy varmint 19.5 ft lb.

Nice shooting!

I had a BM500 that was excellent for 25M BR (which it was designed for). Never had a malfunction and with the right pellets it was very competitive.

Sold it when I got out of BR, but still have one of Martin's hunting rifles: HM1000 in .22. It isn't as accurate for BR as the LW polygon barreled BM (.177) was but it still won a few matches. It has a cut-rifled barrel and is crazy accurate out to 60yd or so, which is about right and very effective for pesting here at the rancho.
