I did this @ 56yds with my HW-100 .22, I had just cleaned the barrel, so the top two left targets were leading up the barrel again, then bottom right & left were 5 shots each, wish I could eliminate those pesky flyers! I was extremely happy with those last two groups though... Nice shooting SALTY!, I think those polygonal barrels are are going to be hot! Especially in the wind for long range shooting!

Thanks nomojo, my .30 is about done, then I'll be getting a LV rifle, after that a open class rifle, be wonder if a .20 cal rifle would be good for open class and 50 yard shooting...I'm sure a .20 poly barrel is avail with the right resourcing. Homework homework!!!

Things that make you go hmm... Why wouldn't the RAW 500 you have now be a perfect open class gun for you? I get your idea of a .20 or even a .22 for open class (heavier less wind drift, larger to get more X coverage, note the winner of the 2016 nationals open class). I worry about the pellet select choices in .20, i.e. being able to find that "magic combination" of manufacture quality/design, weight. The pellet choices in .22 seems to be a lot more healthy to choose from.

My plan is a Thomas .177 for 25m and 50y open class and 25m HV. Then a RAW 500x in .30 for 75y and 100m. Not sure about a LV gun, rather the Thomas will step down and still give me a good selection of pellets or not IDK. My Thomas should be in hand by the end of October and the testing and setup beings!

I think I need to talk to Martin about also adding a .22 .25 or .30 cal barrel for my BM500 for shooting out to 75yds?, can't afford another dedicated Gun, but could swing an extra barrel!

My .30 is coming with 2 stocks, BR and Thumbhole, HM action, mag or single fed, adjustable cheek on both, acc rails on both, match barrel with super silent moderator.

Salticon, so you can put a the same action in a thumb hole or bench rest stock? If so, that's great news to me as I'd love to get a BM 500x in .25 with the polygonal barrel, but I also like to shoot it off hand and field target style as well. So, the accessory rail and check riser, or even better, a whole different thumb hole stock would be awesome. Am I reading into your post correctly?

yes you can put different stock into a different action. I have a rea 500bm ordered with a l r t stock with adjustable cheek piece and comb.
