RAW HM 1000X .22 First competition

I just got my new RAW HM 1000X .22 from Mike Schultz who was selling it on this forum on Fri. 11/27. Got rings for a scope I had and went out to zero it that day. On Sat. 11/28 I shoot a Benchrest Silouette match at Phoenix Airgun Club and took first place will a 38 out of 40 possible high score for this year so far.
I also have a RAW HM 1000 .177 I shoot in HV class in Benchrest and in Field Target. In November I took first in HV and scond in FT. I can't say enough about the product that RAW (Rapid Air Weapons) has out.

There is alot said about different guns and tunners out there like Allen Zasadny who does not advertise but by word of mouth he is know for his tunning. I know of another gentleman out there who also does not advertise his skills in tunning, in this case RAW rifles.

Examples, Mike Manabe from this forum (Wanabe like Manabe Challenge) shoot at the 2014 EBR in Sportsman Class, 1st in 25 meter benchrest, 3rd in 75 meter extreme benchrest, and 3rd in speed silouette with a HM 1000X .22. Michael Schlesinger was 2nd in 25 meter benchrest in Pro Class with a BM 500. This year at 2015 EBR Irwin Segerman 3rd in 100 yard extreme benchrest Pro Class with a BM 500 .22, James Ramsey (Astoman) from this forum took 1st in 100 yard extreme benchrest in Sportsman Class with a HM 1000X .30 bone stock from the factory. Also the rifle I just bought from Mike Schultz won 1st in 25 meter benchrest in Sportsman Class.
All but one of these rifles have been tuned by Mark Buchanan from RAW. I hope Mike Manabe will chime in on this one about how nice Mark is to deal with. Here is a proven record of what the rifles can do with good shooters. Here is a link to RAW you can get Marks contact info there.

Congratulations Allen on your new purchase! These RAWs tuned by Mark are among the finest rifles available. With the tuning by Mark, and the assembly done by Martin....you are certain to receive an accurate, precision machine. Both strive to give you 100% of what the rifle is capable as is seen in the hands of some of the finest shooter on the circuit.
When Mike Schultz told me he was selling his gun I though he was nuts....Selling a rifle that has already won a major competition!...Allen,,,you scored big time!!
Mark Buchanan is a very knowledgeable person who really has a wonderful understanding on how a rifle should work. He even sells a pellet measuring device that uses air pressure to gauge the size...pretty high tech stuff!! And he is one of the nicest persons I have met. When we were at the 2014 EBR, I didn't have a rifle to shoot FT targets....Mark was very gracious and not only lent me a rifle to use, but he went around the course with me to aid me in my shooting. Can't say enough nice things about that experience, and Mark made it special.
I suspect we are going to see Allen's name atop the leader boards with his new RAW...Can't wait to see some of your scores once you start using the rifle in competition.

Congratulations Allen -- fantastic performance! My first-place in the EBR that you mentioned was with a bone-stock RAW and based on circumstances just prior to the competition -- was a very improbable win.....

I brought my .30 HM1000x to EBR this year as a back-up gun, as I had been practicing with my FX Boss (raffled on this forum's first give away), and I'd just received the RAW. Unfortunately, the reg in the Boss failed just prior to the competition and despite Kip at AoA replacing the reg the night I rolled into Phoenix, it did not shoot very well at sight-in the next day, so I sighted in the RAW and switched to my curved front rest bag to accommodate the standard stock -- not ideal, but that was my only option -- I just had to re-level the gun between every shot. I found the RAW easier to shoot (less sensitive to hold and trigger pull variation) than the FX. And the rest is history as they say.....

No worries Allen -- was just making the point like you just did -- the RAW is a winner right out of the box! I'll be swapping out the stock this weekend to a BM-500 red/black laminated beauty Martin and Sandra sent me a couple weeks ago. I have en't fired a single pellet out of this gun since EBR so really itching to see how she shoots with her new BR stock.

Cheers,
