This is my RAW HM1000X .25 on a long range shooting day.

Man, jlacouturec; that looks like a sweet set-up! I wish I had that deal down here on the border! I am using a shooting tripod with a two-point rifle rest adapter. It works fine, but I'd love to have a 100 yd range with a sit-down bench-rest :). The charcoal sporter stock looks gorgeous. I am awaiting delivery of the RAW HMx .357 (130 fpe regulated) w/ the Forest Green thumbhole stock and adjustable cheek piece. It should arrive this month! I'm VERY excited. The more I hear about the RAWs, the more excited I get :)

Thank you for the encouragement, jlacouturec :). You sound like you have access to the wide open spaces down there. I live up here on the California / Mexican border (on the California side). Lotsa scrub desert. But there's plenty of bunnies, squirrels, ducks, and doves (and the occasional coyote). I can't wait to get my RAW out in the field! How do you like the tripod with the rifle rest? I have the Primos Trigger Stick tripod with the Primos two-point rifle rest. It's great for hunting. I bet the hunting and fishing is good down there. I've never been to Columbia, but I've been to Panama when I was in the Navy. Man, you must get a boat-load of shots with that .25! I used to have a Daystate Pulsar .25. and I really liked the shot count. I will get only 16 regulated shots per fill with my new RAW .357, but I ordered an Omega 12 cu-ft 4,500 psi tank to give me 60+ shots in the field.

The primos is very similar to my bog pod tripod, they're perfect for hunting, caldwell is a bigger and a heavier platform but its versatility is better (you'll need a person who carry it on field). I use caldwell when recording hunting shots with the RAW, the bog-pod when recording with my edgun (smaller and lighter rifle), and when hunting and not recording, i use a vanguard bipod. with my RAW shooting @925 fps i get 50 regulated shot plus 5 more off regulator but still above 900 fps when filling it up to 230 bar and let it fall to 140 (reg. Minimum preassure), i can fill it up to 250 bar but in none of my pcp's i did that, always 15-20 bar under the max. Preassure. (I only use jsb kings 25.39gr and for close range hunting sometimes i use the polymags for superior knock down energy).

That's right, you'll not need extra power if you are shooting a .357 jsb domed. In my opinion, there's no pellet as accurate as jsb's domed. I recommend you not to remove the red tip out of those polymags, if they simply doesn't fit your mags, single load them, that tip is there for increasing penetration and also to help that pellet to make a stable fligh, center of gravity may come a little bit backwards and those tinny things in ballistics can change the game.
