This is correct. AirForce uses 5-axis machines that Martin didn't have when making them. In addition, the air chamber inside the action has more volume than earlier rifles, the action is ambidextrous, and you don't have to remove the trigger and hammer to remove the bolt.Just talked to Martin. The newer models don't need the plug as ghetto machining abilities have improved, and they don't need a blanking plug.
So the the rifles won't have a plug
I think someone may be working on a regulator tester for the HM1000X actions. I just bought the Best Fittings ones and modified one to use on the latest large regulator thread size.
