Tuning RAW HM1000X and Huma 1174 adjustable regulator problems

I just got it from Martin a few months ago. So it is a brand new build.

I don't know if Martin is using a different receiver than what Air Force is using, but it would have been nice to have the plug so I can start documenting where things are set. I sent Martin an email asking him if there is a regulator tester he makes or is able to make. Really hope I didn't get a buggered up receiver and have to send this one back.

Did you send your action back to martin to get worked on and he sent it back without the blanking plug ? I thought you already had received your action.

No nothing has been sent back to Martin. This is the original rifle I received. I am wondering if Martin gets different recievers or something.

Does your rifle have that plug Emack?
Martin gets all his receivers from airforce, I know only because he is waiting on a shipment of .22 caliber actions. I do not have my .22 caliber action as I am waiting for him to get them. How were you shooting it without the plug ? You can order a bottom blanking plug from the airforce raw website. I just ordered some bottle o-rings. I just found out the bottom plug is 1/4" BSP THREADS not 1/4" BSPP Wich I thought they were. With the adapters I just ordered I will now put a regulator gauge on the bottom of my RAW and when my action comes I can put one on the MPA chassis because as you know the chassis already has a hole we're the blanking plug is wich is awesome.

There is no slot for a plug, just a solid bottom.

So I have nothing to plug my gauge into to measure the regulator.

I have an email out to Martin and awaiting his reply.
Oh man that sucks , I had no clue the new actions had no bottom blanking plug. I was looking forward to a drop down vertical external plenum on my MPA CHASSIS. Here is a picture of the bottom of my chassis, wich of all these holes does the single set screw hold the action in the chassis ? And why is there so many holes ?

Did you get the chassis for the HM100X or did you get the one for the Crown??
I ordered it for the Raw, I hope it's the right one.... I will have to try and out it 8n tomorrow morning, I will let you know. I think first part is for a baracade stop maybe?

Ok I just got all my bits and parts....removed my rifle from its chassis.....AND NO BLANKING PLUG! DAMN IT!!!! Now I have to figure how to test my regulator set point!

Now I need to find someone to open the threads of my Rapid regulator tester so I can actually test something. 🙃
Which gun is this?

Just talked to Martin. The newer models don't need the plug as ghetto machining abilities have improved, and they don't need a blanking plug.

So the the rifles won't have a plug
I’m guessing they just drilled it from the top. They got three grub screws, not reason one can’t be drilled through to the two chambers.

But it certainly would be interesting if they did anything inside that cavity. 5axis mill would allow angled hole.

Ok regulator tester modified and I have it working, need to improve the o ring seal, but was able to find the pressure. The stock regulator was set at 170 BAR, I set the Huma to 180 BAR. Did some quick tests over the chronograph and was able to push the KnockOut 25.4 slugs to 990fps. Dialed back a little and was getting 950 fps with a deviation of 4fps.

Now need to hit the range and see the groupings to see what happens.

Can anyone confirm what the thread size of the hm1000x is? I believe it is a 3/4×16NF but want to confirm. I have a tap at my shop, will just need to purchase a drill bit.

This looks like the correct size. Just ordered an 11/16 end mill to make a tester. Will make one and test to make sure things work ok.
Yes, the HM1000X regulator thread size is 3/4-16 UNF.
