Tuning RAW HM1000x - Bottle O-Ring Leakage

Are you certain it's leaking from the fill nipple and not the threads? If it's the threads then yellow Teflon gas line tape in proper orientation when screwing it in.

If not then give it couple quick deliberate fill blasts of forced high pressure air when at low pressure.

Thanks Odoyle,

No, very easily could be leaking on the threads ...is this common?

How is this done? -> If not, then give it couple quick deliberate fill blasts of forced high pressure air when at low pressure.

ACE Hardware. They have an incredible selection of o rings. Not wanting to bother purchasing and waiting for replacements from over seas, I replaced my BSA bottle o ring and the BSA magazine o ring as well from Ace right up the street. Now hopefully you have one near you.

All the best,

Cliff

Yeah Cliff,

Many of the o-rings can be purchased on Amazon or Ebay - 100 for less than $10, unfortunately some have to be ordered from the UK being BS dimensions and are pretty pricey.

RAW charges an "Arm & a Leg" for OEM sets.

Concerning Theoben bottle orings...I don't know if RAW bottles/threads are the same...however...I've had my Rapid for 16+ years, in the beginning the bottle had to be removed to fill and it "ate" oring's almost every time, sooo I took a close look at the bottle threads, I was a machinist and an expert on metal working, it was obvious when the bottle was unscrewed under any pressure the oring was forced into the rear of the threads which had a TERRIBLE burr that "cut" the oring so I carefully deburred the last thread and polished the sealing serface also, so the oring had a shoulder of sorts to rest against when unscrewing...problem solved... as for the grease, I been using the 33 on that oring forever...less is more, it just keeps the rubber from gaulding when under pressure, especially when just filled, for the last turn or two. I made an oring installing tool to protect it when installing. Had David Slade upgrade the gun

to the quick fill in '16 and reseal, it's still solid as a rock today.
