RAW Rapid Raw HM1000x early model

I have the opportunity to buy an early Raw HM1000x with a stock made by Rutherford its company.
Will buy it remotely so cannot inspect it butt it looks beautiful on the pictures.

I also have a HM1000x from 2017 that shoots very nice and has te offset silencer, believe this was made in the last year Rutherford owned the company.
It's a .25 and I have a .30 and a .22 set that can be placed in this airgun.

Where there any differences in the block or internals like the prope between the early models and the 2017 models.
Reason for asking is that I want to exchange sets with between these guns.

Both are hm1000x, mine a Raw HM1000x in .25 has a magazine slot of 15mm same as the Theoben rapid models.
I believe the bigger slots where for the .35 models and Airforce made them wider to 17mm for al the models.
I can interchange all my magazines off the Theobens .20, .22, .25 with the Raw in .25 and and all of them will fit(not schoot offcourse).
Also all of the Theobens barrels will fit the Raw, but the Raw has a different probe system compered to the Theobens.
Was wondering if early Raw airguns have the same probe systems as the Theobens or do they have transition system to the current Raw models.

I have 3 Theoben Rapid in .20, .22, and .25 and one Raw in .25 and hope to add a second.

The HMx LRT newer updated models have a larger breech than the older ones. I have an older model, likely a 2016 that has the smaller 15mm breech/magazines, the newer models have a 17mm breech/magazine. Mine has the added external plenum right above the V-Block.
Could you post a pic of the external plenum? Also, where did you get it?

Thanks!

I purchased my RAW HMx LRT .22 Chassis from Ken Hick's of SPAW in I believe 2017. It is an OEM plenum but I don't know the volume, Martin would know 👍.

Awesome, thanks! I emailed Martin about these. How much of a difference did it make?
Mine came in that configuration from Ken Hick's who I believe used to be sponsored by RAW as a competition BR shooter. It may be a custom addition Ken had added for some of the smaller caliber guns he sold or for himself. I heard the older .30 cals had these additions for a larger plenum size but just heard thru the grapevine. It's not that large of a plenum but hard to say it's internal cavity size.

I just bought the Raw in .25, realy like the stock that has been fitted.

Has a BM trigger without a safety and has benchrest set up. Has a 11mm rail and no angle in the base i presume. The previous owner schoot it on a tethered airline with regulator on the bottle and it has a fast flow.

I get a huma regulator for it and maybe a carbon 700 buddy bottle

Congratulations! Enjoy shooting that beauty! Regulated RAW's are the way to go 👍. You can always send it to Martin and have him add a V-Block and reg if you don't have time.

Wel I am living in Europe so do not thing that is an option. This rifle has an 180 deg quickfill, fill opening on the bottom of the stock and a gauge under the barrel.

Huma is based in Europe so a reg from them would be easy to get and placing it would not be a problem I can do it my self

how does this plenum work as it’s behind the valve where the spring is?

There are two cavities that make up the plenum space.
the cad photo illustrates them.

The lower longer cavity that the reg threads into.
And the middle cavity that also dbl’s as the valve return spring and plug.

Early hmx were drilled at .591” (roughly 18cc)
Newer were drilled at .75” (roughly 29cc)
The current ones are machined a little differently they removed the blanking plug and I hear they made some slight gains in volume. I’ve never seen one. So I can’t speak to that.

My math is calculated with a huma reg, it has a smaller body.
And doesn’t take into considering what volume the valve spring and stem take up.
