RAW Rapid RAW HM1000x fill port shuttle valve/spring

Hey All,

Question for those big brain RAW fellas. In swapping a 700cc bottle on my RAW HM1000x. I degassed it by loosing the fill port (which in my haste caused me to damage the o-ring). My question is are the shuttle valve and spring inside the fill port needed?

Why am I asking….Well I got excited and dropped the foster fitting and the shuttle valve is somewhere in my 4 car garage, ordered one from Martin and it came with no o-ring and am curious if the parts are even needed or if I can just screw the fitting back in and call it good?

Trick I learned for small dropped items - take a flashlight, put it on the floor - shine it across the floor. Look closely as you sweep it side to side and you will probably see the item. Of course his assumes that you can get down on the floor to look!

I like that idea. I bribed my kids with a 20.00 reward so have them out there now, worse case will call Martin Monday and see what size I need. I am a bit irritated it didn’t come with the o-ring since it is shown that way and I paid out the nose to have it over nightied and it did not get shipped that way but that is just me complaining.
