Tuning RAW HM1000x - Fill Pressure Max.

I have two RAW HM1000xLRT rifles with suggested fill pressures of 230 bar listed in the owners manual. However, if you go to the RAW website it shows their Carbon Fiber Tanks having a fill pressure maximum of 250 bar. This contradiction suggest the RAW regulator doesn't like fill pressures above 230 bar - Right?

I would love to be fill my tanks up another 20 bar to 250 bar, but don't want to kill my ES or worse ... damage the regulators.

I apologize in advance if this has already been answered. If not, does anybody know ....or have OEM RAW regulator performance above a fill pressure of 230 bar?

- My regulators use set-points of 120 and 140 bar respectively.

Guys, just looked at the RAW website - both the 480cc carbon fiber tank and the regulator have 250 bar limits; however the owners manual (from last months purchase) and Pyramyd Air website state the fill pressure is 230?

Sounds like the manual and Pyrmyd Air are out of date?

If yes, has anyone noted a ES performance change above 230 bar?

you could always screw a bigger tank on it if your concerned about a few extra shots .. you got to work with me here .. with the proper mods we're talking approaching 1000 shots per fill plus lol ...

I always fill my RAW to 250 bars. Specially after rebuilding the original reg and a bit of its upgradation, I get around 70 shots with 34 grain .25 jsb at 60 ftlb.

As far as Huma regs are concerned, my experience with them has been good as well as bad.

Huma uses a very soft regulator seat. It gives very good results at initial stage. But I have experienced that my RAW original reg gives me more consistency for a complete shot string than my Huma reg of fx Royal 400.

So I stick to original reg with some upgrades.

Similarly for fx impact the AMP reg performance is better than Huma reg in my hands.

RAW HM1000x LRT fill pressure and gauges

In an abundance of caution I checked with Martin of Airguns-USA to confirm current (2022) RAW HM1000x airguns could safely be filled to 250 BAR. Here is his response.

“Yes the guns are rated for 250 bar if they have a bottle fitted that is capable of those pressures, the 480cc CF and the 500cc Aluminum are rated for that.”

As to the accuracy of the on gun gauge versus the gauges on my external regulator, his response is below.

“I would go with the external one, those small gauges no mater who makes them are not great, they get the job done though.”

I make no representation or warranty about the accuracy or sufficiency of this information, all parties are urged to conduct their own independent investigations.
