Does anyone have information on this carbine? I cannot find any reviews on the web, only Shot Show videos. Is this a vaporware carbine? Anyone get a chance to pick one up or check one out?
Agreed, not sure who they'd be competing against, in this sector, but they aren't coming in first place or second. In a world of mini carbines lately, I think the raw shot below the crowd. Steel bottle, low efficiency, heavy. Etc.
For what the gun is, the price is wayyyy too high. This is a gun that most likely measures up to the size of an edgun classic, but gets less shots, less power, and worse accuracy. Even when having a larger air capacity? For how much time they've spent on it, it should be damn near perfect.Yeah…appears they had to go with the smaller in diameter alum bottle to get clearance for the shroud. Shroud doesn’t appear to be helping with the bark..over 100 decibels. Adding a moderator will result in a longer gun.
Very strange they opted for dovetail rails? Considering all current hm actions are picatinny.
Even the larger hmx with more plenum would help this build.
But as a whole, short barrels makes for loud guns. At a point it get very difficult to make any kinds of efficiency. You reach a threshold where no mater how much you increase the reg pressure….the pellet is long gone before peak pressure is built.
I wouldn’t say edgun classic at all. This directly competes with the likes of the evol mini, panthera hunter, pathfinder Etc.For what the gun is, the price is wayyyy too high. I'm not familiar with the Raws, and I'm also not saying that it's competing with the Edgun Classic. That's a very old design. I use an edgun classic .25 350mm and .177 250mm. I've gotten 54fpe out of the classic and been able to get moa and sub groups at 50yds at the set up. Getting just 9 shots, but again, that was at 54fpe. That's why I make the comparison, RAW should be way ahead of a gun this old. But I can see how it would be trying to compete with the evols, or the pathfinder. I just wouldn't even have it as a pick based of the video and the stats.I wouldn’t say edgun classic at all. This directly competes with the likes of the evol mini, panthera hunter, pathfinder Etc.
but it doesn’t do anything better than any of those others. It can’t make the power of the panthera, it can’t beat the ruggedness of the evol, or efficiently and weight of the pathfinder. It’s just not gonna sell! Unless you’re a die hard raw guy that needs all the raw offerings in your stable.
It’s also typical raw efficiency. Hammer bounce was never addressed with this platform.

Pyramyd air insider with Tyler Patner just put out a new review of it. Check it out on YouTube.
Piston length barrels, will yield pistol results.
Doesn’t really matter what fancy name u give it,
The best pcp in the world will yield awful results trying squeeze juice out of a 8.5” barrel
Lol I agree. I said on the video he should have done .22 instead of .25 as it would be a more usable gun maybe. He said he would have loved to but thus is what they sent them. I think if this is the gun they sent them that's very concerningSo it is me or Taylor's facial expression on thumb nailpicture says WTF?
My Evol Mini has a 10.5" barrel and I can get plenty of power out of the gun and excellent efficiency. Yeah it's more money but doesn't mean that just cause there is a short barrel you can't get good results out of it.Piston length barrels, will yield pistol results.
