Martin is the Man, and again he’s correct, the pistol chassis I find is a bit wobbly and to me the check rest is a bit to high in relation to the buttstock /barrel. JMHO.I had the same thought for a Field Target rifle. Martin talked me out of it though. Said the rear stock wouldn't be stable enough. I so wanted it to work!
Nice looking gun. Enjoy.
What part of the chassis is wobbly?Martin is the Man, and again he’s correct, the pistol chassis I find is a bit wobbly and to me the check rest is a bit to high in relation to the buttstock /barrel. JMHO.
I wanted a .20 but with a tube , not a bottle , never pursued it .RAW pistol 1… RAW Rifle-2

Just curious? Why wouldn’t it be stable?Martin talked me out of it though. Said the rear stock wouldn't be stable enough.
The chassis is wobbly? How do you mean?Martin is the Man, and again he’s correct, the pistol chassis I find is a bit wobbly and to me the check rest is a bit to high in relation to the buttstock /barrel. JMHO.
It’s not the rear buttstock That’s standard with the RAW chassis, it’s after market with both buttpad and cheek riser adjustable, it has a full length AR buffer tube and stock locks solid into chassis. I think it would be perfect for HFT personally? But I really have the most fun with it right now as the pistol! I have scope risers that I will fit soon will make it easier both as pistol & rifle.Yes! You must tell us more. I have been wanting to do this for a while!

Yeah. I noticed that it was a different model. Looks like it has what is needed, and I wouldn’t know what they wouldn’t be stable. The only thing I would be worried about would be the shortness factor of the whole rifle for HFT, as some say that a rifle is better for it. I have only used a rifle for it, so I don’t know what it is like to shoot a shorter rifle in HFT. I would also pick plus another aftermarket stock. It’s not the rear buttstock That’s standard with the RAW chassis, it’s after market with both buttpad and cheek riser adjustable, it has a full length AR buffer tube and stock locks solid into chassis. Just to clarify a bit, once you have the stock adjusted to your liking it can be tightened up enough so as there is little to no movement and bolting on any buttpad is quite easy. The gun itself is very accurate and can easily be configured as a rifle or pistol. On my unit remove bottle, unbolt, barrel/ Action, change Hammer spring,1 1/2 rev on the Hammer spring tension and 20-12 ft lbs. reassemble, 5 minutes MAX. OBVIOUSLY remove the Buttstock for pistol class. I have shot it in both pistol and regular HFT matches and the limiting factor has always been the Dope. The one pulling the triggerWhat part of the chassis is wobbly?
Motorhead has one in .20. He even let me hold it. Very sweet gun.Yeah. I noticed that it was a different model. Looks like it has what is needed, and I wouldn’t know what they wouldn’t be stable. Did you get 177 or 20?
12 or 20ftlbs?
Is that a 480cc bottle.
I have been considering the .20 in 20ftlbs. Not much of anyone has reported on those at all.
I really like your setup Did! Did you get the 20fpe gun or the 12fpe?Just to clarify a bit, once you have the stock adjusted to your liking it can be tightened up enough so as there is little to no movement and bolting on any buttpad is quite easy. The one pulling the triggerI find that it’s fairly light weight so follow through on the trigger seems to be more critical then my full rifles. Bottom line is it is in my opinion, one of the best bangs for the buck for HFT Rifle/Pistol. One thing I have found when you tighten the buffer tube nut it needs to be done with a quality wrench as the cheap ones slip off easily and it should be SNUG. YMMV Enjoy it’s a great quality unit.

Scott has seen the way you look at that gun, there's no way he'll let you touch it!Motorhead has one in .20. He even let me hold it. Very sweet gun.
Bought it setup for 20ft lbs. Also cut and form another HS after I received it, for a 12ft lb. I didn’t want to have to change the reg. Pressure every time I wanted to go from 20-12fpe. Shoots very well either way and I did shoot it at 12fpe at an HFT rifle match and it did surprisingly well. Scott (Motörhead) does great work with both the .20 and RAW style AG’s.I really like your setup Did! Did you get the 20fpe gun or the 12fpe?
It is pretty sweet. Wish I knew someone close by who could put a .20 barrel on one of my guns.Scott has seen the way you look at that gun, there's no way he'll let you touch it!![]()
