If you have never serviced these, know that u don’t have to lose your reg setting to replace those.
simply remove the piston by the knurled nut below the washer stack, replace the two orings and. Get shooting again. Love that reg design!

I will tear into it after work tonight, I have a O-ring kit supplied, I believe I did this by over pressuring to 265bar? Big No-no! I’ve literally shot thousands of pellets through my other RAW’s never experienced this.

Hmmm, possibly you may have messed up the seat of the piston.
Do you have a reg tester? Does the reg seem to function? And hold/regulate air?

Seat damage ( If present ? ) has NOTHING to do with air leaving the vent hole.
ONLY pressure getting past the HP or LP side of spool O-rings gains access to the vent. ( All Air Gun Regulators )

Yeah…that’s true.
Damaged seat would have different symptoms. Thats why I’m wondering if it’s regulating properly

Ok, just replaced both O-rings on spool pc. Valve stack back as found and measurements I took for reg. Psi. No leak at vent on reg. Body! If I know what I’m looking at? Appears no damage to valve. Stem/seat.
Now leaking at either main valve. Body O-ring or at Vlv. Stem cap? Both those o-rings replaced

New style reg ... easy peezy "Spool" o-ring servicing !!! Unscrew at the brass collar w/ flats and 2 o-rings are right there !
Screw back together with no set point change ... Nice !
While pressurized ... Spritz a bit of WD-40 at the caps and around all joints etc ,,, bubbles will happen at leak.
You have these areas that may need fresh o-rings too ?
Fill foster X2
Fill Y manifold X2
Bottom blanking plug X1
Bottle and Attachment manifold X2
Valve seat to receiver X 1 or 2 ?
Likely the poppet / valve seat is NOT a problem being there very reliable as designed.
Screw back together with no set point change ... Nice !

I have used the O-rings supplied for these replacements, will try again with your leak detection method. Also will source more O-rings and make sure I used the correct ones for each replacement. (Some are obvious)
One more note, you are 100% correct on not having to disassemble valve stack but I didn’t have a thin enough spanner wrench so I did disassemble the valve stack, I took measurements and pics to get reg. Back very close to factory specs. Will find out for sure though when I do velocity checks.

Rigs back up and running! Inner spool O-rings I replaced with with the wrong ones? Checked FPS and about 10FPS above previous to regulator and valve stack teardown, I will let it ride and see how the SD and accuracy pans out?
