RAW REPORT

"Rey"Picked up my .30 raw this morning on the way to work. Wow!!! I can' get a pic to show how nice the stock is. I could not wait to open it. So I opened it up during lunch. Shouldered it and home run. You can' feel the almost 10lbs they claim this weighs. This thing is everything they say it is so far. I might have to use a day of vacation to shoot this thing. There is a storm supposed to be coming. Now I see why imold took a ton of pics. I only got 1 since it's during lunch.
Awesome news! Congrats! What color stock did you get?

Well guys, I think we have another RAW owner in the works! My buddy came up today and brought his .25 cal FX Wildcat with him and wanted to shoot my HM1000X (setup for .30 cal). One cycling of the action and squeeze of the trigger, smacking a heavy 2" spinner up 44 yards away, left him with a 'I can't believe how smooth this thing is!' and a huge smile on his face! He couldn't believe how hard those big 30's were hitting the target, how smooth and light the trigger felt, how nicely his eye lined up with the scope and how smootly the action felt.

So now he's trying to locate a .30 cal of his own! It's almost not nice to let someone shoot your RAW!

He left his FX with me to photograph and set up an ad to sell it for him (he's not totally computer-savy, but its the least I could do to help a friend acquire a super sweet RAW).

Oh, man does that look sweet! That's the exact gun my buddy wants to get now too!

Post more pics when you're all set up with the scope, etc. But-do yourself a favor and wait until you get home to expose it any more-don't want you getting in trouble, LOL.

Sweet, sweet gun you got there! Just wait until you can shoot it!

"Imold"Looks like Thursday we will be above zero at 3* but all the rest of the days below zero during day and into the -teens at night, looks like we are getting our cold spell for the month hahaha...If the wind or breeze is out of the North or North West I’ll be able to shoot off my new table from inside just open the patio door about a foot and I’m good to go.
.
This spring or summer when weather is better we should try and get together, I have 12 acres with a 110 yard shooting range by Star and Dead lake, perfect place to hang out and shoot...
I just looked up your location: looks like it would be about an 8 hour drive for me to get to you-whew, long ways away. Let's keep it on the horizon and see if we can make something happen. My buddy just decided for certain that he wants to move up to a .30 cal RAW, so we'll get him all set up here in the next several months (to half-year, LOL).

I would also like to get out to South Dakota, or somewhere, and do some prairie doggin'-that would be an absolute blast! I have no idea where to go to do that though...

I was just looking at Dog hunting in South Dakota, I’ve been reading up on the Pierre South Dakota Prairie Dog hunting area which I know is a popular area for dogs maybe to crowded by the way it reads,Seems lots of folks head there and it’s only open from June through August if I remember.....A guy can take Airguns and Powder Burners and have a few days of real fun.
I know there are more areas then Pierre SD to hunt but that’s one I know of...

"Imold"You tell him Craig! But remember we all need to hug and drool a bit before pics are taken hahaha and I to thinks it’s been long enough. You getting some more pellets through yours Craig? And how is it shooting?

Imold, Yes, I have been shredding one lone corn stalk that is standing about 110 yards into the field. I'm also hammering some swingers at 50 yards. The wind here has been 15-25 MPH the last 2 days which is why I started beating up on the swingers. I'll be doing back for some more indoor shooting later this week.

Looks like I need to get some paper and pen and start making my list on what I would like my next RAW to have, LRT Walnut stock set up in a 30 cal with a exchangeable 25 poly barrel,Euro rail, picatinny and sling accessories with extra mags and both being set up for Long Range Shooting sounds about right, did I miss anything? I feel like I did when I ordered my 1st one...

All I know for sure is we all have received very very nice Airguns from Martin,Sandra and the crew at RAW..Hope they keep it up...

Craig,
I already asked for a poly barrel on mine. They don't make it at this time. I would have ordered it if they did. Let me know if they make poly for .22. I do know they make a stainless barrel for the .22 ad it's about 4 month wait time I believe for that. I might just get that. I heard that barrel is extremely accurate. They don' make a stainless barrel for a .30 either.

From what I know, the polygon barrels from LW are only available in .177, .22, and .25 caliber ( http://www.lothar-walther.com/459.php ). Also, read the description of the barrels available, mid-page, here: https://www.rapidairweapons.com/xcart/product.php?productid=17756&cat=262&page=1 .

I don't know any info about the SS barrels-perhaps those are supplied by Lilja barrels?

Craig and Dirte, thanks. I am working nights and will have to wait unitl the weekend to try her out. Going to try both 33.95gr pellets to see which it prefers. then I will order a sleeve to stay loaded. Will also try H&N Baracudas, PolyMags, Benji Domes, and a few more that I have. This will take a while to compile the data, but it must be done, for The RAW Bunch.
