As promised I got a chance to do a couple pictures.
30 cal. LRT in front and the 22 Sporter Stock in back.
So I got home in time to shoot tonight. for you easterners I broke a sweat at 6 pm we are down to 69*.
Back on track, this gun is great.
The conditions were bad this afternoon, with a storm coming in the winds were gusting and changing directions constantly.
So there were no magic groups that set the record books.
However what stood out was how well it did in the conditions and how much fun it was to shoot.
I have shot FX, RAW, BSA and Air Arms rifles and this new addition is a blast.
I was not sure how I would like the non Adjustable stock but the cheek rest lines up well with my Hawke 10-50 scope with Eagle Vision adjustable rings.
After sighting in the scope, I expected a good bit of scattering of the shots due to the shifting winds.
There were some, but much less than I expected under the shifting winds.
The negative I find is that the trigger is too light even for my taste, it is set so light it is almost indiscernible for the second stage.
I would wager it is set at 6 oz. or less, my 30 was set at 6 oz and it was clearer than this to the break point.
The seller was good about disclosing any negatives, it needs a new gauge, and possibly a regulator.
I did a long shot string down from 200 bar to where it fell off the regulator at 95 bar.
The only issue is the shot string declines from the 890's slowly dropping to the 860's at around shot 94.
All shots were done with JSB 18.1 Exacts.
Then it clearly drops off the regular at 95 and quickly plummets to 811 by shot 108.
All this just showed me the previous owner was on to something with the possibility of a bad regulator.
We shall see, hopefully the regulator can be serviced and work correctly.
I will keep you all up to speed.
