RAW REPORT

HI Craig,
I am still getting started with the 22.
I mostly have JSB 18.1 gr. and some 15.95 in stock in my pellet selection, maybe some 14.35's also I will have to look.
So far I have only shot 18.1 gr pellets through it.
I will have to experiment some since I have not used a polygonal barrel before.

However, this is a 10 shot group from today. It is the only group I did well today as I was still trying to get used to the gun.
25 meters, mild wind shifting left to right and some head wind.
This group is also after it fell off the regulator at around 90 bar down to 80 bar.
So the flier is my fault it was on shot 9 and I knew as soon as I did it. Bleep!
Otherwise 9 of 10 shots in less than .1 CTC.
For reference that is a 9 and 10 ring target for 25 meter so the RED ring is .31"
I was giggling by shot 8, then went to hell on shot 9.

If I could do this good in a match that would be 99 out of a 100 points.
Hopefully I can get me dialed in.

I am sure some of the local guys will have some input on what they have found since I think many of them have gone to the poly.

Right now it is shooting at right around 850-860 fps range so it will be interesting to see the speeds and weights it likes.
It still needs to get the regulator worked on so I am not getting too wound up yet on testing ultimate set up until that is done.

I will keep you all posted.

Hi Terry:
My .22 HM1000X also has a LW Polygonal barrel and it manages the wind like no other rifle I´ve ever had. This is an eight shots .34" group at 53 yards.

My HM1000X is also a great long range shooter: No problem hitting skeet clays at 203 yards with 18.1 grains JSB´s

Unusual finding for the day. For whatever reason, my .25 with poly barrel 60fpe tune seems to like H&N grizzly 31gr pellets. 896fps and 55 fpe.

Never used them before today. Have never found a gun they shot extremely well past 80 yards with. My 60 FPE tune Bobcat likes them ok but gets a flyer occasionally.

Target 98 yards 1.5 inch steel spinner. Light 3 ish mph right to left wind. Holding 3/4 inch right (edge of target). 18 shots and 17 hits.

i need to play around with these more with paper, measurements and BC calc. Might make a very good distance hunting pellet for the RAW.

Anybody eles shot these yet?

Just for comparison, the H$N Barracuda 31gr shoot at 936 or 60fpe. JSB MK1 @ 905 and MK2 @ 910 fps.

The Grizzly seem to have more friction in barrel and shoot slower but drops significantly less at distance. With a 48 yard zero drops 2.9 Mils (10.47 inch) exactly at 98 yards.. that's a high .070ish BC??

2 more days and I’ll know if I’m going to be getting a HMx .30. Came home and my propane house regulator was froze up AGAIN so I got that unthawed and got ahold of Ferellgas to see if they will put a new one on my home, this one is at least 25 years old and I think it’s time for a new one...it’s froze up twice in 2.5 days and I’ve gone all these years with it never freezing up..not good when it’s -8 out with wind, makes it around -35 out there.....ok rant over...

This is just as bad as waiting for my 357 before I got it.....Decisions Decisions.....
