I've been involved in the shooting arts almost all of my life. (I got a 20 gauge shotgun for my 12th birthday!) It has never gotten old. I hunt almost every day (at least I did until I sold my Impact to buy my RAW). There is so much to engage me intellectually and spiritually: The physics of ballistics and compressed air; the skill of hunting (i.e., game recognition, anatomy, stalking, field dressing, game cleaning, butchering, cooking, EATING!); outdoor survival skills; the fresh air and exercise (which I definitely need!); etc., etc., etc.) Plus, the beauty, workmanship, and technical complexity of the rifles themselves are very gratifying."hynzie"I'm so hooked on this airgun thing it's not even silly I never thought I would find a hobby or sport then totally consumed me like this sunbelievable to say the least and these raw rifles they just put me over the top I feel like we should hold a banquet and bring all of our raw rifles and display them that's how freaked out I am about these but I'm loving every minute of it airgun Nation number one pat
I have discovered a whole new world of shooting with air guns. It really has been only relatively recently that airgun technology has advanced to the point where it rivals firearms in many ways. And, in my opinion, high-end rifles such as the RAW HMx .357 (130 ft-lbf regulated) are actually superior to PBs for small game. The power, accuracy, and range is commensurate to the .22lr rimfire rifle, and the stealth factor puts airguns over the top performance-wise. Plus, the availability of ammo is not an issue like it is with firearms. The initial cost to get up to speed is salty, but very affordable long-term. Airguns, let me sing thy praises!
