Go on www.usairriflebenchrest.com for BR rules and scoring procedures. If you belong to a BR club or have gotten a sanction from USARB, they supply official scoring plugs.

Thanks everyone for the supportive comments. I got the target on a PDF from http://www.phoenixairgun.net/targets
I just print and staple to a solid board (so it doesn't tear out when shot from not being supported behind it) after I pull it off the holder I flip it over and flatten out all of the torrn areas where the pellet went through so it is easier to see the very center of the impact point.

Thanks for the link. I was at that sight last night and am thinking about buying some acrylic bar stock to make my own set. They have the sizes posted for the scoring plugs.
Really I feel like I'm living in the wrong state for this sport. I looked at the club list and I would have a 6 hour drive to get to a club. When I use to shoot Hi-Power I only had 2-3 hours to get to a match.
Oh well, the local tree rats and ground hogs are going to have some surprises this summer.

That is the same one I use that is until now.
I just received a shipment of 80 lbs worth of targets for a total of 1500 cards.

Nice shooting . What caliber was that?"crgabel"here is my first attempt at 25 meter BR. my shooting set up was poor at best but I'm still happy with the results. I was shooting from a hand rail on my back porch.

Are you ordering this target from someone else? (you said "that is until now")
You said " these are the full 11X17 inch cards". Do you mean that the card is just sized larger? Do you feel the actual individual target size is correct on what I'm using. I would hate to be shooting at the wrong size thinking that it is the correct one.

.25 cal. The holes look small but as I mentioned I had flattened out the frayed exit edges pulling the paper back together for the photo and possible scoring.

The one you show looks like the 11x17 actually.
there are ones on the PHoenix airgun site that are designed to be printed one half or the other.
And they are printed 8.5x11 sheets.
I actually have the actual competition cards came in today from Orion.
I purchased 1500 of them for practice.
That should last me a while.

Craig the corrugated political yard signs work great as a backing for targets and the little metal holder is nice if you can get a few with the signs and also Walmart sells the same type of board back in the office supplies area, I’ve bought a few from them and they are cheap, I’ll put up a link in a few minutes.

Craig, these are what I use from Walmart out at my range for paper target backers, you get a nice hole not a rip or tear in the paper target when shot. You can order targets through the USARB. Their website gives information for ordering through Craig Young (336-406-6420). 25M targets are $20 per hundred and 50M targets are $25 per hundred.They are "official" targets, BTW.

Well I’m back from having 12teeth pulled so now I can’t wait to start feeling better, long time coming......if it wasn’t so windy it would be a nice day to shoot, I opened my door and it felt like hurricane wind blowing in the house....

So sorry to hear that! I fear I’m not too far behind you with the teeth-that’s one thing I didn’t get good genetics with, and did my fair share to wreck while in school (drank way too much coke!). Heal up buddy-shooting will come soon. Hang in there!

Thanks Craig I’m glad it’s over the dentist is my biggest phobia I have and I already feel better so now it’s time for me to do more air gunning as in shooting without feeling crappy plus I can enjoy it more..

Thanks Sean. Ya my dental issues were mostly from genetics on my moms side and my heart disease is from my dads side of the family and I would imagine that my heavy Whiskey drinking and chewing in my youunger days didn’t help either. Been sober 14 yrs which is how I can afford a lot of my hobbies now, it’s amazing how much money a person can save....
I might really get serious about a HMx 25 now, I have a Leed.
