OK so I started following the RAW Report last summer and got my HM1000 in the Fall. I just wanted a good accurate gun to do some back yard plinking. I kept reading about this "RAW addiction" and kinda snickered. Then I thought a .25 would be nice to shoot at the local 100yd range. I found a nice HM1000x for sale and made the deal. I never intended to shoot it at my home 50yd range. Last week there was a strong cross wind that was blowing the 177s around pretty bad so I thought I'd try the .25 with some Mk I heavies. WOW! This thing is a shooter! Still had to dope the wind some but the accuracy was/is impressive. So now I'm thinking about the possibility of adding a 30 and that this "RAW addiction" thing is no longer funny - it's real, it's insidious, it's a friggin disease!

Hey fellows, heres a video of a .25 conversion i performed, standard .25 to .25 HP 60fpe verison.

Thanks Ken, to bad the wind was playing heck with the shots but that right there just reinforces my need to add a HMx .25 to my collection sooner then later hopefully.

Thanks Hotbrass, Yep and I also want to try a SWFA 12x down the road also but I’ll get the Athlon Argos 1st being I have two of the Aztecs which I really like....

I have a Hawke HD with TMX retical Scope on mine and it’s a beast but it’s a bench gun so doesn’t go very far . Optical clarity is great due to the glass and 60mm lense and retical is great for wind gauging

Houston we have a ISSUE !!....So it’s a nice day here in west central Mn with the temps around 20* and just a very slight breeze out and snow is melting so I figure I will shoot my Wildcat Patriot.25 so I get it out of the gun cabinet set it up on my bench inside my home open the patio door and then I couldn’t shoot it, I looked at it for a bit then went and got the Texan .45 and shot that twice and that sent my 2 cats and Rat Terrior running to the back of the house, forgot how loud that is shooting it in the house so I put it off to the side and eventually my 2 cats and the chicken I mean dog came back into the living room, so now I go get the HMx 357 and get that set up and take 5 shots and animals are still in the living room so now I grab the HMx .30 and shoot that 5 times and yep animals are still hanging out so now I get the wildcat back on the bench wanting to shoot it looked at it for a while and then put it away along with my other 3 and hear I sit.................My mind is telling me to do something and I’m not sure what to do this is really getting to me and if I do what I think I should do you might need to send out a search party to find me hahaha, think I’m in a pickle with this .25 thing..........I am addicted for sure.....

So today was the day of reckoning for me (the box showed up with something about 8-34, blah blah, blah…). I don’t know where that came from honey?!?! Was that from you for a valentines gift?!?! Wow, My heart skipped a beat....I thought that that was the .22 that i had ordered in forest green stock. I about went into shock as I'm still in the "not thinking about it" mode. Nice shooting under the conditions that were present Ken.

UJ WELCOME TO THE 5H CLUB .WHERE YOU END UP WITH 5 RAWS THAT START WITH THE LETTER (H) THEN YOU MOVE ON TO THE *T* AND *B* models ..what club are you shooting at ...lots of people think weve gone off the deep end with our passion foR RAW RIFLES. Then they see them in person and shoot them .there always will be others out there. that just say no.and thats fine .the lower the #s the more the value stays .i plan on keeping them forever .glad to see you jouned the club pat now if i can figure out how to post picture s

Now, my ultimate fantasy: Can someone figure out how to fit the Anschutz trigger into the RAW action? You all know about the action, etc, so I don't need to give you details on that. Here's the detail on the best trigger in the world:

Dawson made some competition ceramic ball barring triggers
they could be set really light and crisp

I have a couple here I’ll have to see if they work in my RAW receiver, They fit the Theoben MarkII so they should be compatible

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Martin put a hundred of those also triggers in some of the first raw weapons I remember seeing something on there Facebook page a year ago so where he sold off the last couple of them just the trigger units themselves... I also got a heads-up from Matt that P A now carries the H&n 30 caliber pellet I got myself 8 tins few minutes ago that'd be great if that trigger works
