RAW REPORT

Nice shooting kdog and it’s nice to see a pic with no snow, we’ve received about 12” in the last week so I’m looking forward for it to be gone so I can get back out to my other property and range and do some real shooting.
Ive have also been spending time looking into Modular homes, looking for a 1 level 3 bed 2 bath to put on my property for retirement days with the wife in a few years or sooner being we want to turn our lake home into just a summer home which will save us about 700.00 - 900.00 a month in the winter time not having to pay for all the propane and electric, maybe rent it out to one of my children real cheap or just rent it out not really sure on that one.
Still keeping my eye out for a HMx in .25 but right now I need to enjoy my 30 and 357 and just take it easy for a while and get my health back on track, also you can only see the top 4” of my target now that I put out on the lake due to all the snow we’ve received and I don’t feel good enough to go out and shovel the snow from around it, looks like it’s time to volunteer one of my boys to do it hahaha.

Kdog this is my setup i use for indexing, I couldn’t post in your pm.

its a AF tri-rail, so i can access the barrel bolts.

Thanks Ken ,,,,I did something very similar to access the barrel bolts,,,just used 2 high rings on the back end of the scope. Also put a piece of tape around the barrel and marked it every 1/4" with a number when I'm doing the indexing so i know where to set it once completed.Appreciate the help!

"Rey"Well guys I haven' had a chance to shoot my .30. It' been hectic. Getting my place to sell. Looking at places to buy in az. I don' recommend moving across the ocean guys. It is a pain.
Terry do you hunt with your air guns in az?
What do you hunt if you do?

Hi Rey,
Hopefully the move will get done and you can enjoy the weather out here soon.
This is a what you have to look forward to https://www.currentresults.com/Weather/Arizona/Places/phoenix-weather-in-march.php

No I do not hunt however I know many out here do.
I know people that hunt pigeon, ground squirrels, and some that hunt all the way up to an Elk with a 45 cal air rifle.
Just not my thing.

Got home tonight, converted back to .25 cal, sighted in at 50 yards, then determined how many mils up/down for various ranges. Turned out it was as follows:

JSB Mk I, Heavies, 885 fps MV
45F temps
4 mph SSW (mostly calm though)
Zeroed at 50 yards:
@ 75 yds: +1.6 mil
@ 35 yds: -0.6 mil
@ 70 yds: +1.3 mil

One shot at 35 yards knocked over the spinner target, but with -0.6 mil dialed in, here was the shot:

While checking holdover at 75 yards, I shot the following 5 shot group-crazy!

Edit: here’s a photo without the measurements to show the group better:

That was at 75 yards!

Here is a group at 50 yards from sighting in:

Thrilled with that performance...

"Hynzie"SEAN i cant find my mic ,but when you line the 30 cal H@N nexr to a 30 JSB u can see the H@N is taller my mags dont want to spin with them ,,,,
Pay,

sorry for the delay, here is a comparison picture of the 3 .30 cal pellets I have (JSB light, JSB heavy, H&N Barracudas):

I also loaded up two pellets in the magazine, and pushed them out with a pen like they were getting loaded with the probe, and the magazine sprung over just as it should-so it seemed to rotate fine. Not to state the obvious, but you’re sure you would the magazine in the correct direction, and if so, you had it fully rotated to the stop before loading the ‘first’ pellet into the magazine? Either one will prevent the magazine from rotating correctly.

I don’t want to speak on behalf or either Ken or Donny, but I do know from product development that it usually takes several iterations of a design to get the performance optimized. My best guess is that they are going through that process right now-it (many times) takes a bit longer than planned-totally normal.

On that note: I can’t say enough positive about what a great support Ken (Salticon) has been to me with sorting through my Rowan trigger blade setup. Ken has gone above and beyond to help to get it working-to the extent of installing it in another action, tuning the release characteristics, getting all dialed in, and sending it back to me (even offering to swap entire trigger assemblies with me-which I passed on-so it was just a drop in instal!). I totally appreciate his wonderful service and recommend him to anyone interested in getting work done or ordering a RAW (or any other products he offers)! I highly recommend Ken. Thanks for the referral Craig!

"Hynzie"so i went through all 3 of my 30 cal magazines and the new 30 cal H@N BARRACUDAS are to tight in the magazine to allow it to rotate ,,,PYRAMID AIR HAS RAISED ITS PRICE ON ALL THE ITS POPULAR JSB PELLETS TO $ 18,99( A TIN UP $ 3,00 ON SOME TINS
I checked Pyramid and you're right Pat. $3.00/tin price bump on JSBs seems pretty aggressive to me and I'm amazed that no one else has even made mention of it. Pellets are supposed to be the "cheap" aspect of air gunning. I was planning to get/order a .30 cal LRT this year. Now I'm not so sure. Uj

For those wondering, my .25 cal polygon was shooting 885 fps at 35F. Now that the temp has hit 60F, the velocity is up to 895 fps.

So my 18 year old decided to shoot some today, in the 63F HEAT, and has been killing the spinners at 70 and 75 yards, like it’s almost boring! She decided to shoot some groups at 50 yards and didn’t like shooting from the benchrest. So so set her up with the Atlas bipod, and she shoots this:

Makes me want to just quit trying, LOL. Yep, that is NOT benchrested, but laying prone on the deck with a bipod.
