AA....like you I have both barrels but have the standard LW in currently....I'll get some groups up at 50yds in the next few days.

Here is my new 30 cal I got so I don’t bang and scratch up my 30 HMx, now I can take the kid gloves off and just do without worrying about it.

so in the last year MARTIN has upped the power in the 357 cal to 130 #s first then the 25 cal to 60 #s now the 22 cal to 50 #s will the 177 cal be next ,,, i know out of all the calibers the 30 cal was the most difficult to obtain great results ,, in the progression 177 22 25 then 357 and back to 30 i guess it was a tough one ,

some days my lw rocks and is my accurate with certain pellets and then other days my pol is better. I think it comes down to how well the barrel is leaded and what lot#number I'm using on the tin. this raw I have gets lots of use. as I'm always testing lot numbers and thers much difference from lot to lot I find

the 177 doing in the 30 fp range would be awesome.. mabe make it around the pile driver or the jsb 16 grain.

poly barrels are 1 in 17.6 turn
lw barrels are 1 in 16
this is for the 177
I'm finding for the longer rage shots the poly barrel is better definitely but still its not slow twist.
the picture above that martin at raw shot was shot with an even slower twist than the poly barrel.
I wish raw would sell slow twist. 177 barrels

Lothar Walther will make any t wist you want but you have to buy 10 barrels
some of the gun builders have done so
and from what i understand is the twist they got was in the vicinity of 1:27
so you are thinking Martin should offer a Poly with the slow twist of 1:27 ?
would be very interesting
maybe you could order the 10 barrels?
test them, keep the best one and sell the others

I picked up two .177 LW barrels with 1 in 27 twist poly profile rifling. In my experimenting so far they are looking very good. I seem to get the best results with JSB 13.4gr but the JSB 10.3's also shoot very well. In my last USARB 25m match I had a high target of 249-9x in rather windy conditions which was well above my expectations. To early to say for sure but as of now I like the "slow poly" barrels.
