RAW REPORT

Well, I just got my SUMO! She's gorgeous. One problem; I ordered the wrong adapter. I need a shroud extension to clear the cylinder. So, I guess it doesn't matter that I gave you my old adapter :). I ordered the right one, and Donny is sending me a shipping label to send the other one back. He's amazing. I ordered my SUMO on Friday, and received it today on Monday! All the way from Florida to SoCal! On a weekend yet. And he responded to my request for return in about 30 seconds! Guy runs a tight ship.

177 raw bm500... guys I was just looking over my notes and paper targets and looking at my 50 yard target 10 shot groups out doors.. it amazins me how small most of the 10 shot groups are..the groups are always smaller than a dime out doors in the wind... its only a 177 but it makes me smile when I see small groups like that from a small call.

any one else amazed or surprised by the accuracy of a 177 raw at long range

Just got my lefty HM1000X back. Bought it used but very much “like new” as a poly barreled .25 back in April. Accuracy was just okay. Not at all what a RAW should produce. Sent it to Ken at SPAW. He confirmed the inaccuracy status. It went to Martin. In the meantime, I purchased a .30 kit for it. Long story short, it needed a recrown on the .25 and Martin got it taken care of. Ken got the barrel back and tested. It’s looking great! Ken installed the .30 kit & Rowan trigger blade, tested and sent it all back to me.

I received top notch service from SPAW. Ken’s communication and documentation went above and beyond. He even included a portfolio with test targets from 75, 100, 110 &120 yards and shot strings for both calibers. That’s a sign of a man who is passionate about his work.

I received all today. Put my Athlon on and tested. Shooting the 44.75 gr at 870 fps. I’ll stretch it’s legs at longer ranges tomorrow and compete in a long range benchrest silhouette match Saturday. I haven’t tried the .25 yet but I am really impressed with the .30 kit. Here are a few pictures and 5-shot groups from 40 yards which is the furthest distance I have at the house. I think this RAW is ready to rock! Love the precise position adjustability that the Rowan trigger provides. Will continue to update as things progress. I have a good feeling about this ?
