RAW SLUG BARRELS

I have a stock RAW HMx LRT .22, tuned by Martin, and it is a pre- AF gun with a stock non choked LW polygonal barrel that shoots slugs just as well as pellets. You just need to find the diameter, length &:weight and speed your own barrel likes. I shoot NSA 17.5gr @ 950fps & 20.2gr @ 920fps on my JSB 18gr 970fps tune...fantastic barrel that is not pellet picky at all. I do not know the twist rate but it shoots lights out with both slugs and pellets. Have taken ground squirrels out to 120yds.

Thanks for that mate, I haven’t the Raw in my hands ATM ,it’s a HM1000X LRT. CHASSIS STOCK..22 ,I will be very new to PCP ,in fact the only Air I have ever owned was a Anschutz .17 target side crank. Most of my shooting over 60+ yrs was pistol ,shotgun and rifles of various cals.Looking forward to the challenge of PCP.I was hoping the one barrel would be good for both projectiles,With the way components for reloading have dried up here in OZ I will be looking to air to take up the slack. Cheers Mal in au.

My 25 cal RAW HM1000x chassis model shoots slugs very well - in fact maybe better than pellets. I did have to up the hammer to above 900 fps muzzle vel as per Martin's recommendation. Here's a target at 100 yards. Those are 1” squares in black on the target.
