Sorry to hear this - but, as you can see, you're one of many that have found issues with these defective 25mm gauges. Pretty apparent by now that there is an inherent flaw with this design. I'm guessing you're not going to get any response from Fred or any of his chronies by Monday (you probably won't get any response in a month either) so you'll probably have to dispute the payment through Paypal. I had to do that and ended up waiting nearly two months to get resolution; it was resolved in my favor so I wasn't out any money - just a lot of wasted time (and air) and several big doses of frustration.None of this is encouraging. I got one of the 25mm gauges last week. Installed it, and began losing ~50 bar every 24 hours. But something I haven't heard in this thread... I actually did a leak test with leak detector. It is not leaking air from the threads. I've had a ~10 bar leak before, and you can see the bubbles. This big of a leak should have literally exploded.
So I tightened it a quarter turn anyway and let it go another day. Another 50 bar gone. In my experience you can let gauges out a full turn and not leak (so to align the display how you want). This thing is leaking from the internals. I swapped back in my old gauge and the leak stopped.
I just sent an email to Sekhmet with the details and requested an RMA exchange. After reading all this though, I'm not sure I want an exchange even if he responds. Fortunately I paid with PayPal. I'll give him until Monday to respond, and if not, I'm just disputing the purchase with PayPal.
Btw, I also have a 28mm gauge (a year or so old) that has given me no real problems. I just did a FW upgrade following the video from the Sekhmet website without issue.
