Recomendations for setting up new GX CS2

I filed my taxes today and as a reward to myself I ordered a GX CS2. I am not getting money back, I am paying, but I've been looking at the GX line and decided the CS2 best fits my needs. My main way to fill my airguns will remain my Yong Heng filling my 6.8 liter bottle but that doesn't give me a great way to fill the gun on a multi day trip. The bottle is portable but only holds so much air. And if I ever travel by air I don't think I can take it. I thought about the CS4 but I don't need a compressor to fill bottles, I have that, and it weighs about twice what the CS2 weighs - so while a lot more portable than a Yong Heng it is not in my opinion as portable as the CS2. Anyway, that is my logic. I ordered the compressor from the GX website. They had it marked down to $278 and application of their 10% off code brought the price down to about $250. Seems like a good deal.

But now I need to at least consider what additional pieces to get on their way towards me. I want to set it up to use the 18V Milwaukee batteries I already have so I ordered a step down converter and battery dock from Amazon. I could not find what I really wanted. I ordered a 18 to 12V converter rated 240W. That seems a bit small for the CS2, it might burn out, and I'd rather have a 18 to 13.8V rated 300W or more. If anybody knows were I can buy one reasonably priced a hint or link will be appreciated. I also ordered some high current connectors. I'm thinking my installation will be very simple. I plan to cut the cord going to the battery clamps and put in male and female connectors. When I want to use the battery I just plug that lead from the step down converter using the same connector where the power cord would normally be. I will need to look the unit over to see where the battery dock and step down converter will go. I may just mount one on each side of the compressor. I'm not terribly concerned what it looks like but would like to minimize changes to the unit. I will use it a few times to be sure it works before doing any of this.

But what else do I need? I noticed Target Forge has some grease that is "better" for the bottom end. There is apparently an inspection port I could use to put the new grease on the pin of the piston but maybe I should take it apart and replace as much grease as possible? I'm not sure about an additional moisture filter. What about a longer fill hose? I don't plan on high volume use but I want it to last and be convenient to use. Ideas?

Yes I watched the video from Target Forge about putting a battery on a CS2. I don't want to do it exactly the same way but I like the idea. I will use the superior Milwaukee batteries, however 😀
Figured you saw it but wanted to make sure. I use Makita batteries so I just bought the battery powered GX CS2. i think you will find you will never need to hook it up to a car battery if you have milwaukee batteries. I would just get the battery powered CS2 and swap in a Milwaukee base plate and call it good.
