I'm having trouble pulling the trigger on Joe's products. While it may be true that his products are good, it seems that caring for customers should start with providing a secure site in which to make transactions. Pyramydair.com does. So do countless other vendors. ( I have no connection to Pyramyd but I have bought from them in the past ).
I do not like giving my CC# over the phone since I do not know if someone is writing the number on a piece of paper to make the charge later and therefore who knows where the number might end. Yes, it may be no big deal - I can always cancel a stolen card/number, but it's the principle. Creating a proper website is not a major undertaking in today's age, specially for a business probably selling $1,000s every day. Not to mention they already have the site, they just need to add a SSL certificate.
Airtanksforsale provides no website security, charges an additional fee for using a credit card (no CC extra charges at Pyramyd), offers no free shipping regardless of order size - I was looking at a large tank with all the options, about $855 total (free ground shipping at Pyramyd for similar order), and lastly, when I called and asked about discounts in general or for Air Gun Nation members (as has been mentioned on this forum) I was told by an employee that there where no discounts (discounts found on line for Pyramyd - i.e., 10% off order). I think people have been drinking too much of the cool-aid about airtanksforsale being such a great deal. In point of fact, they are a bit more expensive than just about all other vendors. Again, products may be good, but pricey and with a lousy buying set up. If they fix the web interface, I'll reconsider.
