I am returning hatsan .22 cal pcp. I’m looking for the most powerful and the most reliable 22 caliber or 25 caliber, semi automatic PCP. my budget is around $850-$1000 thank you!
Yes, I read up on the Benjamin marauder 22 caliber, semi automatic but I’ve read a lot of people saying that they’re not reliable and they jam up.Those semis are spendy. At that price range you're gona have to pick between power or reliability. Or just spend more and pick both. I'd recommend a marauder for reliability. Or at least for their warranty and far superior customer support compared to hatsan.
WHY semi? Look for something DEPENDABLE & low maintenance (words that usually DON'T describe semi-autos!)Yes, I read up on the Benjamin marauder 22 caliber, semi automatic but I’ve read a lot of people saying that they’re not reliable and they jam up.
I use my air rifle, mainly for squirrel hunting. If you take a shot and you miss the squirrel, then you have to cock the gun and then look for it again in the tree. A semi auto would work so much better. The rifle I have works great, but it’s just too heavy. It’s not practical to hold that up hunting all day.WHY semi? I don’t mean to take sides against you on the semi auto and Gerry’s suggestion on getting something reliable, but hear me out- Mr Squirrel, since the dawn of time when adult Airguns were first out(ok, how about just saying since Airguns period came out), Mr Squirrel has been THE number 1 target of choice, poor fella, lol. 99.9% of the time whenever someone wants his first airgun it’s all about popping off squirrels. Virtually all I do is hunt. I rarely lose sight of my quarry if I happen to miss. I never let it leave the field of view of my scope while cocking for a 2nd shot if needed! Maybe it's TECHNIQUE & not the GUN that causes you to have to re-acquire your target.I use my air rifle, mainly for squirrel hunting.
