Red Dot Confusion

Cheaper, the better..

Put a bit of thought about how you will like the sight height above the bore too. Some like them low to the bore, others, not so much. I think that it has to do with their normal range/shooting distance and keeping a flat trajectory. Conventional red dot scopes are usually mounted pretty high, like a scope, and typical pistol reflex sights are low, keeping things close to the bore.

On my GK1 I kept it low. And because of shooting multiple distances, choose a zero distance that is pretty flat. I use the upper and lower arcs of the dot as a guage for holdover or under based on range. A sight with multiple chevrons or dots would be ideal, but those are pretty expensive.

I like the looks of the Holosun HE507COMP with the 2 moa dot and 8, 20, & 32 moa circles as a holdover reticle. It's pricy though.
