Red dot sights for pistol

I have four or five ACSS recital Holosun sights. Also a couple of Primary Arms ACSS prism scopes.
They work EXACTLY the same as the round dot version ! The only difference is...the upside down "V" , period.

I also have a couple of the Meprolight, M21, and an M22. They ALSO have an upside down (solid) triangle. Again, they work the SAME as a...dot sight.

I stand by my comments above.

One of my Caimans with the Meprolight M21 sight with the...delta reticle. You use it...JUST like a round dot sight !

and your comments above were correct. I didnt dispute them. Yes, it doesnt matter if it's a chevron or a dot or the tip of a rats pecker, it's the same thing.

You said that you didnt know what the poster was trying to show with the pictures. What he was showing was the ACSS Vulcan reticle.

Again... The 232 MOA circle isnt even visible when you have the chevron in picture. It's there to help those new to red dots to find it. For those are used to red dots, it's useless. A short vid I found explaining for anyone who wants to check it out.

Tried a super short video showing the same. Never did a video upload here so we’ll see if it works.

In regards to the Cuda video, I tried to replicate the experiment with everything except their Cuda brand, and also at ten yards. Vortex, Burris, and Trijicon all performed the same to me, using a short focal distance and moving in a flat plane like they did. Holosun did exhibit some movement. Moving back to arms length, or 4-5x the distance that Cuda used, and moving more dynamically, rather than perfectly flat, it was MUCH more difficult to detect a meaningful shift.

Unmagnified red dot reflex sights have a huge advantage with air gun pistols over every other sight types because they allow full view of the target and the surrounding area.. This allows rapid target acquisition and a large field of view. These attributes allows easy application of Kentucky windage to compensate for the wind, pellet drop and target motion without losing sight of the target, which is a common fault of other sight types. The down side of these sights are the distance above the barrel center that they typically mount. This creates a requirement to hold under when pesting at short distances, so the closer the sight mounts to the barrel center, the better. This creates a dilemma because most pistols have 11 mm dovetail rails and the better red dot sights natively use the picatinny 22 mm type rails and adapters typically raise the sight height above the barrel. So before you buy a red dot sight pay close attention to their mounting dimensions and installed height. In this light, there is a adapter type that uses spring loaded spacers that does not change the installed height of the sight. They work best and allows the better picatinny sights to mount closer to barrel center. Another point to consider is the number of dot intensity adjustments there is. Intensity is very important where the amount of intensity needed is a product of the amount of ambient light available. Too much intensity causes dot blooming and too little intensity makes it difficult to see the dot in bright sunlight, so the more intensity levels available, the better. Another issue is glass quality. Aberrations in the glass or its finish causes dot distortions and the smaller the dot, the more apparent this issue becomes. Lastly, price alone will not always indicate the better sight. I have found quality sights within Ali-express at very reasonable prices.
