I have zero knowledge about red dot's. I have looked through the forums and found a few things but it all seems Chinese. Can anyone direct me in the way to find some Red Dot basics/101?
Thanks

How is the parallax error on this particular model? And, approximately what is the size or scale to the bottom of the chevron ACSS Vulcan reticle for holdover purposes?I got this Holosun green dot 2 moa for my Huben GK1 .25 and love it, it auto turns on, easy to sight, and a pleasure to use

I find the green dot much easier to see, is crisp, and the chevron makes it fast to be on target. I have been mainly shooting 15 to 50 yards and got used to it so I can quickly be on target and do minor adjustments naturally on longer shots. How is the parallax error on this particular model? Prime -I like the chevron / vulcan for this pistol application as you can in an instant sight in and be hitting a target and on paper target it seems easy to adjust as needed for height to be more specific placement. For my M4 rifle that has extreme accuracy and range so then a quality scope with mil tree is what I use. Remember this is a pistol, this picture below gives you a better visual on how fast you can be on target...

He is showing the ACSS Vulcan reticle on the Holosun. It has a chevron and a 232 (I think) MOA circle. The circle is helpful for shooters new to red dots to easily find the dot. If you are already proficient with a red dot sight, you dont need it.Prime -
I'm not sure what you are trying to show, but from what it looks like, for using a dot sight correctly...it's VERY wrong !!
The dot can be ANYWHERE, within the window, and as long as the dot is over the target, you will hit. High centered, lower right corner...it DOESN'T matter !!!
Now...if you are trying to cowitness the iron sight and the dot, then yes, the picture above is correct.
BUT WHY...would you even think of doing that. THAT's why you are buying / using a dot sight in the first place ! BOTH eyes open, look at the "target" and just notice the dot over (or under as I do) the target, and...pull the trigger.

You need to grow up and smell the roses ! At least 80% of ALL electronics are made in...China ! Deal with it. And, for your information. How about that computer you are working on ??? Or 90% of the elctronics within that computer !!! I've had various Holosun sights (made in...China) and had ZERO problems in the 5+ years of ownership.
You want proof...check out "Sage Dynamics" videos in YouTube. He'll show you just how...good a Holosun (made in...China) is ! Along with a few other top brands, (made in...China) are.

@MikeVV, @primaz is correctly using an image of the Holosun HE507C-GR-X2-ACSS red dot sight showing how the design of the ring around the chevron gets you on target faster. Further, only if that optic's glass is ground and polished correctly will it be parallax free and subsequently "hit" exactly where aiming if the dot is anywhere but centered with the eye and box. Red Dots all tend to advertise "parallax free " but in testing, they usually not error free, off by several moa. Now, this particular model, advertising made with a more precise aiming unit, is probably real close to error free. I'd like to see the results of this in testing, if ypu could @primaz .Prime -

I have four or five ACSS recital Holosun sights. Also a couple of Primary Arms ACSS prism scopes. He is showing the ACSS Vulcan reticle on the Holosun. It has a chevron and a 232 (I think) MOA circle.
