Daystate Red wolf any advantages 25 cal vs 22 pellets only

I've never seen it published for the 34 grain. The 25.4 BC is ~.050-.052-ish.

@Centercut is a big fan of .25's. Perhaps he will chime in?
Yeah, the .25 Heavy BC is slightly better than the .22 RD Monster. I don’t know anyone that shoots the .22 Beasts from their RW. Both me and everyone that has tried them get frequent flyers. The big advantage with .25 Heavy is consistency. I can’t remember the last time I got a flyer from one…

I found 34 gr 22 cal jsb pellets pretty readily available and the m sure it won't get as many shots but if it shoots well and can get the gun to about 900 fps I'll just skip converting it to a 25 cal was my thought don't get me wrong I'm a big fan of 25 cal

Most people can't get the .22 33.95 gr up to speed where there is a flat enough trajectory, certainly going to have more recoil and use more air trying so the marginal bc gain might be lost.

62 fpe on a .22 Cal….. Not many on the market !
My first PCP was an Evanix AR6. That one gives that power.

I will try the JSB 34 grain with that rifle!

True. There have been a few that have shot them successfully in competition. But in both cases I know they were over 1000 fps, and a .22 RW HP can’t do that.
No I won't make 1000 but should be close or low 900s I turned the valve stem down upgraded to 11.1 volt helliboard opened up the valve some too

. 22 or .25? The answer for YOU is what shooting YOU do.

For the record, .22 is my favorite caliber. That being said, I'll concede that the .25 does have some advantages.

Just ask yourself if the advantages of the .25 - at the range you shoot, in the conditions you shoot and the energy levels you (really) need justifies the cost of changing your airgun.

I shoot a lot so cost of ammo is a consideration. For me, the .22 fills all my needs nicely and if it's slightly inferior to the .25 then I'll work within those limitations.

On the other hand, if you have the cash and want to try the .25 I'd say go for it! You only live once. 😁

Cheers!
