Red wolf in PRS chassis

Recently traded a Dreamline for a Redwolf PRS chassis - oh da nice!
Shouldering is solid and cheek weld consistent, good weight for standing and kneeling shots and easy peasy on the sticks.

I really am liking that chassis on that red wolf. Looks sharp. I like a heavier gun for field target and am currently researching what pcp I want for open. I thought I had it down to 2,RAW TM1000 or USFT unregulated but dang it that looks good. I never considered the red wolf because of its weight. Have you shot a match with it yet? I'm assuming that cheek piece can be swapped around for us lefties?

Thanks
Jon

yes you can swap things around. I also have ordered some Corcocan furniture for my PRS chassis... good price and hoping it improves ergonomics.

I absolutely love my Corcoran furniture. The scalloped cheek piece is amazing. I’m not sure I would want anything different on any of my guns. Once you get it adjusted perfectly, your head drops in the same spot every time, and my sight picture remains consistent.

That being said, I’m still tweaking my setup as I’m about to add an eyecup. I also need to move the trigger assembly as far back as I can as well. The grip is a little thick for my hand per say and I have shorter fingers, so it makes it a little hard for me to press the trigger and not pull it.

The one thing I need to figure out is the dynamic balance. It’s a little to front heavy for the force lane shots for me, and I need some of the weight transferred aft.

This PRS chassis makes an amazing field target setup I believe. One other thing you might want to consider is purchasing a few more links to add to the top of the butt hook. I find it kind of digs into my shoulder some. I’m going to contact Gavin and order some.

Setting up another PRS chassis for my Wolf
Although I used Steve Corrocans furniture last time, I’ve gotten a kit made by FORM.
For those interested, the PRS Chassis adds 2 lbs to the wolf. The multi purpose rail under the air bottle is 12 oz by itself, but it can be trimmed down 4 inches without affecting balance. The Redwolf has most of its weight situated directly over the trigger.
Also, if shooting .177 you can install a 300 bottle and still get over 120 shots. Below pic is the HP model so the extra barrel length puts a wee bit more out front, but damn these things shoot! Quiet too!
