N/A Red Wolf or quit the hobby?

RAW HM1000x full length or mini
Daystate Red Wolf or the Wolverine mechanical version (that would be my choice)
Brocock

Check the stuff on sale on AOA.

In regard to your Crown, I've had one for five years with no problems until recently. I started having reg creep. Jeff at Trenier Airguns helped me replace all the O rings in the reg and it's back to normal and works perfectly.

I bought my first PCP a few years ago. A FX Crown MK2.

I won’t bore you with all the details but basically I’m completely fed up with it. The POI is constantly changing and I’ve lost all confidence in it.

I understand there are tons of variables that can cause POI issues. Screws, scopes, cleaning, parallax, hold sensitivity, wind, temperature, velocity, ammo, shooter error and so on. I can assure you these variables have been addressed and one by one.

I can’t put it on the classifieds and say it functions well because it doesn’t. Despite shooting dime sized groups at 50 yards! So I’m out a lot of time and money.

So I guess my question is this-
What quality, non bull-pup PCP airgun is least likely to have this issue and why?

Daystate red wolfs seem to be somewhat popular in FT. And that requires a zero that doesn’t constantly shift. Being electronic from what I understand, they are mostly immune to temperature induced velocity fluctuations. This is a big plus for me.

They do have a barrel that slips into the receiver and is held into the receiver with set screws though. And they do have a shroud. So the barrel setup doesn’t look too dissimilar to the Crown. So can I really trust that I won’t have the same issue?

Thanks!
My Redwolfs x3 are flawless performers but any mechanical or electronic can fail… 5 year warranty is nice

I say quit the hobby. The first time the gun craps out all of same bad feelings will return. I got my first airgun in 1997. In 2005 I quit but came back and am sorry I did. The type of guns I owned (air or PB) depended on where I lived at the time. When an electronic gun is problematic, it is an even bigger and more costly problem.
The biggest turd I ever owned was an early Delta Wolf in .30. Get a Redwolf, put in a superior Heliboard and void your warranty. This hobby is a money pit with few winners.

What if you keep it simple? Maybe a simple, good-quality springer air rifle is what you need.
Funny you said that, I was just thinking how reliable my HW95 .20 is. I dont have a scope on it because I wanted to keep it light and simple. Out to 30 yards I can pull it out the safe any day of the week and knock 1inch spinners around first shot to last. (Williams peep sight) I have owned if for about a year now and still fighting the urge to scope it.

The FX Royale/Boss platform is about the simplest gun they ever made. Few o-rings, VERY low maintenance, quiet, dependable & incredibly accurate. .177, .22, .25 &.30 (the Boss) calibers. Pellets only, no slugs for the most part. Had mine for years & never have poi shift because of the guns themselves. Out of box amazing shooters. I own the Royale 500 (.25) & The Boss (.30)
