Reddot magnifiers ?

Hello I am a very big fan of red dot sights, prefer aimpoint, eotech, burris, and vortex as for magnifiers I have used both aimpoint and vortex with very good results. On my pb I shoot out to 300yds with just a red dot and zero at 50 or 100 depending on caliber. As for my airguns I have 3 setup with red dots at this time and shoot between 10 and 45 yds. If I do my part I can keep a 1 to 2 inch group at 45 yds with just the red dot. Ok enough back ground. The advantage of a magnifier it will allow you to shoot much more accurately with a lot less work. To achieve these good groups you have to work against what the red dot was designed for( power it down as low as you can and really really concentrate on you shots). Now with a magnifier is is much easier to pick up your do and super impose it on your target. I general see people who shoot with their dot on an average setting cut their groups by 50% to 75% with the use of a magnifier. If you are going to designate this setup, set you eye relief first and the mount your red dot in front of the magnifier. Hope this helps Eric

I have a SigSauer Romeo7 red dot and the Juliet6 magnifier, shooting the 50mm with a x6 magnifier is not overkill ;)

Be careful how you pair the SigSauer red dot is in inches and many of other Brands are in mm, the height spacers hard to match to keep both units in the optical centerline. How I know that? More noticeable when I move them closer...

I have had good luck with my Sig Romeo 5 and my Tacticon Falcon V1 on my LCS SK 19, and on my Prod/carbine conversion. The glass is crystal clear, and the unit is substantial. Works well on my SK 19, as well on my Sig Virtus and my Prod. I like the way the Taticon Falcon can be flipped over to the side. Really good for quick target acquisition, i.e. plinking and certain types of vermin control. Clearly not what you would use for EBR, but, hey, we all have our niches.

thanks for the good information , with the Virtus as my power plant, distance is not in the cards, but I would like to be able to see more clearly , the 1/2 'targets at the 40 yards of my shooting area .I have a Romeo 5 reddot and like it ,but I've read that the Romeo 5 is difficult to get a good sight picture with a magnifier ,any advice on a brand that will work? keep in mind that cost is a factor. I have been looking at vector, utg, sig julieete { this one is pricy} ..
