Reflex Sight Mounting Plate - Plastic or Metal, What's Your Preference?

In reading about red dot mounts (mounting plates), I've discovered that there are CNC machined aluminum mounts and 3D printed plastic mounts. The argument I recall for aluminum was thermo-something-or-other effects on the plastic which can lead to inconstancies in your POI because the optic will move slightly. I'll have to find the page I read this and link it in this thread at a later time. On an air pistol or airgun carbine, how big of a shift are we talking? For those of you using reflex sights, which do you prefer, plastic or metal to mount your reflex sight optics?

I don't think the thermal shift would be enough @ 50y POI you to blame anything for it. ;)

I found what I read about metal versus 3D printed mounting plates. This product description claims,“3D printed versions will have dimensional variance between parts and thermal distortion which will cause your optics to lose calibration in different temperatures.”
