REFURB GAMO Whisper Fusion Elite .177 w/ 3-9x40mm scope for $67

Yugster.com is offering refurbished GAMO Whisper Fusion Elite for $67. That seems like a pretty good deal to me. I rolled the dice and ordered one because I don't have any springers/gas piston guns. This seems like a good introduction for not much money.

Wow that's a good deal! Might get one, I need a .177 break barrel in my collection. Had a big cat Gamo. 177 years ago, which was awesome and my first break barrel. Have a Gamo .22 now.

I received the gun today. Nice gun. The sights are nice. It’s built better than 8 expected. I probably won’t put the scope on it. I haven’t shot it yet. Maybe this weekend.

Tested mine for 5 hours yesterday indoor at 25 yds. Has the same problem as the last one I owned, vertical stringing. I took along several extra scopes and that was not the problem. I believe the problem lies in the wedge that makes the lockup of the bbl and action. There seems to be some play in the lockup. If you shoot with the sights that are on the same plane as the bbl there is no problem however when you use a different rear sight or an action mounted scope the vertical problem arises. Droop is easily overcome but I am mystified at how to overcome the barrel lockup problem...........any answers?

Hammer I had a similar problem. I had a new jam spring made about 4 times the length of the original. I then cut it about one coil longer then the original then flattened down the end. Problem fixed, solid lock up.

I thought vertical stringing was due to inconsistent velocities (assuming the problem isn’t with the shooter).
