I have a Texan .357. Is it possible to regulate it? If you can, who makes a regulator for it?
It's easy to regulate an Texan. I've seen people just put a regulator in the end on the bottle where it connects to the gun. Not sure who makes it through. Check with Utah airgun or Huma. They might have it.

You will really loose power by regulating the Texan. It will no longer be a Texan if it were to loose what makes it a Texan.

Actually Altaros makes a regulator for the Condors. I see no reason why a regulated Texan would not work IF you run a 4500 PSI CF Bottle and the Regulator pressure is the standard working pressure (3K PSI) of he Stock Texan Valve. You would certainly get increased shot count. Lots of skilled folks even run Ninja 90 CU/IN 4500 PSI bottles and regulators on a fair number of AF Products. Doug Noble comes to mind. Maddog make "Big Bottle" stocks for just such a configuration. Take the Ninja bottle like I have for sale which has a 3K regulator, drain the bottle, remove the ball check valve, add an Airforce CO2 Adapter and take out the Texan Valve placing it in place of the Stock CO2 adapter valve, gas it up and you should be ready to rock. On second thought I don't think I want to sell that bottle after all since I have 2 Texans (one in .257 and one in .457) ! 
JSAR has a new adjustable paintball style regulator that might be suited to the task as well in the above configuration if adjustability of regulated pressure is a desired characteristic.

If accuracy is what you want you’re going to have to do what I’ll have to when I build a .257. Run it tethered with step down in-line regulator from SCBA to rifle tank. Only real way at those power levels of 190-205 for me as a target BR or Varmint shooter. I don’t mind a blanket & a bottle at field or a 10’ hose if you want to a Nitrogen tank or your HPA SCBA.

I suppose that would work. I think I’ll have to just change my equipment and just sell both of my AF guns and scoop up an FX. My FX crown will be here Monday so hopefully I get more accuracy out of it. I love the simplicity of the AF and reliability, but accuracy and shot placement to me is more important than power.

food for thought...............all of my airforce guns have required a very light hold to produce the best accuracy.

A good stock stiffens up the AirForce guns and makes them non-hold sensitive. Nearly all mine are on Mad Dog Stocks. One member of this forum made a very nice stock for his Texan (I believe it was Loren).

How much plenum volume has an airforce ?

I'm no Air Force expert, just have several of them and have had a lot of discussions with Doug who IS an AF expert.
Yes, he makes a regulator but it is not generally for sale. Note that it is LARGE and requires a big bottle so portability becomes a problem.
As per him, the problem is the power from the Texan comes from the whole bottle being the plenum (with a fast inline flow) and if you regulate you lose that and the rifle becomes much weaker.
You CAN regulate the other AF platforms with smaller calibers but not the larger, air hungry Texan platform... especially not the .357 or .457
It (Texans) just can not be compared to conventional valved pneumatics
I don't have permission to show you pictures but one really would be 'worth a thousand words'.

Note some of these are custom actions, and the calibers range from .257 to .457
this is a .338 in the white below.
These are VERY accurate rifles, like 1/2 MOA average at 400, frequently better.
Doug is a MASTER airsmith and shooter!
Do note that he's not selling these so don't tidal wave him with requests. Maybe someday we'll see something on the market but now he's experimenting and developing.
I hope someday to be able to order a 7mm if he ever goes into production......

Ordered a 1 liter bottle and a tank lowering/drop down adapter for my Texan . I’ll find out how it works out for bench shooting.

trajectron which I believe is based in india has regs for texans and many othrt parts..my antivirus stood up and blocked the because of their authenication but they got bit now.
