Tuning Regulator leak at adjustment port???

Ok, replaced the o-ring on the fill probe. Started filling and had air leaking around fill port. Completely disassembled air tube, lubed Orings, checked fill port O-Ring, put regulator in, installed plenum, put air tube back on . Filled gun to 230 bar. Pulled fill probe, took off ear protection…air leaking from regulator adjustment port, regulator looks to have moved in air tube. I did turn regulator screw clockwise several turns before filling. Any idea why it’s now leaking around regulator? Help!!!

I think I found the problem. I line up the wrong screw on the regulator in the adjustment port. I going to refill and report back in a few!

Still got air coming out around the regulator adjustment screw. Not much but leaking!

Dreamline. I did turn the black screw in till it was tight. Then repositioned it with the correct screw in the port.

Guy at FX said to clean and grease the regulator O-Rings and swap they’re places. I haven’t tried that yet. He is sending me a complete set of replacement o rings for it.

Oh man sorry you know what? Matter of fact I got you confused with another member trying to diagnose Streamline issues that I really thought were rather rare.

The other guy was via phone call. Even had to remind me about this via PM. 

Use divers silicone grease that has the consistency like Vaseline on the outer o-rings and fill probe o-rings..

Took it apart again. I don’t know if the O-rings are moving as I push the regulator into the air tube or what but it still leaks from the regulator adjustment screw...aarrrggg!

I had the same leak on my Dreamline. I replaced all the regulator O rings from FX, used silicone grease on all the O rings and no more leak.

Tap it with a rubber mallet while cocking and shooting.

Can I take the regulator apart? Should the black screw on the side be all the way in? Should the pressure screw be all the way in. Could I have the pressure gauge screwed in too tight because it shows no pressure even when the tube pressure is at 210 bar?

Your leak is in the reg. I had the same exact leak. Replaced the O rings and all is good. Mine was under warranty. FX sent me the O rings. I preferred to changemyself than wait for a repair. I have a PDF of the reg that FX sent me. I don't think it is on their site. I can email it to you if you want (message me) or FX can send it to you. Ask for the "Dreamline regulator schematic"

When you say replaced the Orings do you mean the outer ones?

I replaced all the O rings in the reg and the two outer ones. There are two very small ones inside that move a lot. The outer two have no movement and should last a while.

I don't know but FX lists the size for each part number.



I ended up ordering all the other O rings for the gun after FX sent me the reg ones. It was less expensive to order from here. https://www.oringsandmore.com/ You have to buy 5 or 10 of each size but then you have extras.

Ok, I replaced all the orings except the one inside the regulator body because I couldn’t get it apart. Put it back together reassembled gun. Filled to 230 bar. I had backed the reg pressure down pretty low. After fill reg showed 150. Waited 30 minutes and checked tube pressure, down to 210. Reg about 140. No obvious leaks. I fired the gun seven shots and the reg pressure stabilized at 110. Tube pressure around 150 bar. Refilled air tube, waited 30 minutes and tube pressure at 150, reg pressure still at 110. So I figure my original regulator leak is fixed but have no idea where the leak is now. Any suggestions?

I used a little Windex on the reg adjustment hole. See if it bubbles there. Again, there are moving parts in the reg and two small O rings that move. Another leak could be at the valve. I changed that seal and it leaked a little until a couple shots but has held fine since.
